    I noticed that. So many throw-ins are wasted as the ball goes straight to the opposition. But he does have a point. The central defence pairing is positively ancient in footballing terms and I think the difference showed last night, with experience alongside pace.

    Every competition should really be treated with importance, if only to maintain a winning mentality and the satisfaction of the fanbase. I thought the game was more frustrating than boring and really enjoyed watching Norman earn his wages by making two cracking saves.

    As much as it pains me to diss Peter Clarke, I have to agree but we just know that come Saturday, it will be the ancient pairing again. I think that would be a mistake.

    I don't know, I feel quietly optimistic about this one although my preparation for bitter disappointment is standing by. Let's face it, the game is winnable and if the Shyster fucks this one up, the fans will let their feelings be known, that's the one thing we can count on.

    Meanwhile, back on topic, it would have to be a bloody good hat and rabbit to win anybody over. As I said previously, I wouldn't let him sign any more players and as someone else said, send Chapman and Peck back to their clubs, recall Vaughan and let's get on with it with what he already has. If not, then just fucking go and let someone else have a shot.

    On this point alone, I agree. Reid must be fucking seething, probably promised the earth and now sat on the bench because the striker Unsworth wanted finally decided to jump a sinking ship. The firepower the team has is not inconsiderable for this league yet somehow, they can't buy a decent run of results.

    I don't think Unsworth should be allowed to sign any more players and besides, Berry's scoring streak would be either coached out of him or he wouldn't be able to score whilst sat on the bench.
