  1. No wonder Nuttall decided to move. A bad day for another long-standing football club. Wish them all the luck.
  2. I don't think losing the coaching staff would be a bad thing, considering the sterling job they have done apparently coaching the playing ability out of the club's recent, decent recruits.
  3. I thought the floodlights were going to be sorted with LED replacements...or did I dream that?
  4. He's probably thrown a strop and left the interview to someone else. He should be in the dressing room giving the players a bollocking but then again...
  5. Hmmm, let me see...Chesterfield, third in league, maybe going up...or Oldham, bottom four and fighting relegation? No brainer, really. Clifford maybe has a valid point.
  6. Have you nothing better to do than pick holes in people's posts?
  7. Six have gone already, have they not? Hopefully more on the way out.
  8. I think we can kiss the Colclough deal goodbye, it seems like an age ago since we were 'informed' he had been signed. I'm not even fussed anymore with rumours and ITK proclamations and would rather wait until something concrete is issued in a club statement. I'm sure, with the much heralded structure now in place, the club is working at these things on a daily basis.
  9. What...lend us some players? Relegation is a distinct possibility. Maybe we should let them have Unsworth to ease their worries.
  10. I get your sentiment but the team from which Unsworth is currently draining the ability to actually play football, is totally different from the team Sheridan put out. Sheridan was not the answer, he had to go and the whole management side of things appears to have been a total fuck-up.
  11. We are not Wrexham, with high-profile owners and bags of cash lying under the table...plus, the prospect of promotion is a long way off, unlike our illustrious Welsh neighbours. I would say attempting to bring in quality non-league players makes a lot of sense. Obviously, the major obstacle is Unsworth and his seemingly innate capability to coach the quality out of these players, our recent acquisitions being a prime example. He has to go.
  12. We all thought the Nuttall deal was dead in the water and look how that turned out. Maybe Alty or Colclough are holding on to squeeze a bit more from Latics. At this moment, though, I am still of the mind that he is staying put.
  13. When he turns out for Alty today, I suppose that will answer the question.
  14. Apologies if this has already been posted... Barton Rant over Unsworth It's five years old but extremely relevant and quite funny. Barton says it as it is.
  15. Who could, under the previous cun regime? Many tried, many failed.
  16. Probably false info. The OT also says "But their efforts to prise him from Moss Lane have so far been met with resistance."
  17. I'm not even in the belief that Colclough has signed anything but, imagine if he was just a signature away, it falls through and he has to stay with Alty, whose fans are probably already well aware of the rumours? There would have to be a whole boat load of lying and papering over to maintain his relationship with the Altrincham fans. It's one thing knowing a player wants away, but knowing he'd committed to a club in the same division yet a lower league position is not something easily forgivable. He'd have to really up his goals to games ratio to gain any forgiveness.
  18. Signing Colclough or not, that tweet is a total embarrassment to the person who posted it. Sounds like we are going for a Brian Clough/Ryan Colclough hybrid. Strange that Sinnott has posted Colclough already signed yet nothing has has been made official, unless it's a ploy to derail County's well-laid plans to avoid a beating at BP on Sunday.
  19. The highlights programme is dire, unless you like looking at mainly empty League One and Two football grounds.
  20. I think this belongs in the 'Signing Players and Rumours' thread as that's all that's going on in there.
