  1. I've been to a gig at City's ground and did a tour of the Riverside on an A-level business studies trip - do they count?
  2. It just looks 'lower league' to me. Reminds me of Dagenham.
  3. I've just read elsewhere that the woman was a parent of one of the kids from Failsworth who won the schools final match at half time. That and she's a United fan.
  4. I hope the Huddersfield fans who made the trip will be able to get a refund! Actually, no I don't, the stupid Yorkshire bastards.
  5. Could be a cunning way to get people to spend their money inside the brand new supporters' bar
  6. It'll never get rolled out and even if it did it'll only be enforced if you're blatantly paralytic.
  7. Got a couple of colleagues and friends of coming along to this, basically the Hereford United version of OASIS plus an Irish football noob. They should be in the Brick Brewery for 1pm too.
  8. Would it still work if some IT dork knocked up a script that keeps performing arbitrary searches on that site in an infinite loop? Or is that opening us up to trouble?
  9. Did anybody at work mention this to you Tom?
  10. He did go in net towards the end, swapping with Pogs who went up front and scored a couple. I was convinced Rickie Lambert also played in this match.
  11. At this rate the attendance at Champion Hill will exceed that at Boundary Park.
  12. Looks like they may have been drinking straight from the bottle too, the heathens. (Could be in for this Saturday, but will need to take off almost straight after.)
  13. Make sure that the train back from Crawley is a through-train so we end up stranded somewhere :censored: like Bedford.
  14. We were playing Southampton away. Naturally OASIS had decided to make a day of it and we'd been in the pub several hours before the match. We headed to the ground though for some reason it was a non-league style ground with terracing all around. There was a bar on both sides of the ground. To ensure we didn't see kick off I was with leeslover and 24hours at one of the bars to get another drink. They wouldn't serve us as leeslover was too drunk having had his wedding that morning. So we decided to go to the bar on the other side in an attempt to get a drink. However on trying there the young jobsworth said no again, leeslover was way too drunk. We summoned his manager who was also behind the bar and he said no you're too drunk and you all look like you could do with losing weight too. Aghast at what we'd just heard, we thought who we should complain to but cut our losses as we couldn't think who we could take the issue to. And besides, we were drunk and nobody would take us seriously. The match was still about to start, then I realised I was playing centre back for the Latics that day. I was steaming drunk, and we conceded 3 disgraceful goals in the opening 5 minutes, including one where I fell over the ball inside the 6 yard box. The rest of the game went without incident, us losing 3-0.
  15. I'll be at the technical by 1 at the latest.
  16. I'm sure I heard somewhere that odds on managerial placements are significantly less reliable than the average as so few people actually bet on them. As a result it takes only one or two larger bets to cause a massive sway in the odds. Maybe I'm a little bit late to the thread with this contribution given most recent replies, he's not gone just yet though!
  17. I never got this argument. We may have screwed Warne over one way or another, but he was free and able to go and find himself a new club straight away and carry on earning himself a living, no massive disruption to his life as a professional footballer. The Porter situation left us £750,000 out of pocket. That's a lot of money to us.
