  1. glad that ones over for another year, now lets watch 1500 of them crawl back under their duvet and leave the real fans to carry on following latics at the less appealing bristol and mk!
  2. train is easy as you like, every 20 mins from piccadilly and an easy 10 min stroll via plenty of boozers.. i will always remember 2000 tics at the galpharm at the end of a brazil-esque 3 nil win a few years back , all standing singing OWtB as the lads came over to the stand to show their appreciation made the hairs on my neck stand on end. something similar please!
  3. what happened to the spirit of oldham? we may be suffering a slow and painfull death which is all the more reason to get to as many games as you can manage, despite how torn up most of us are about the prospect of no more oafc. if we are to die in may, lets all be there and help the lads bow out with pride, be it boundary park, or colchester away on a tuesday night
  4. what the :censored: can anyone of us hope to achieve? we are nothing to ombc, mean nothing to the nation, all people that have ever called themselves oafc fans can do is support the team for as long as weve got them. for the stayaways youve had the choice whether or not to come to the game , in 5 years you might not have this choice
  5. out of interest anyone recall how full bp was a couple of years ago when hillstones did the same thing over xmas? i wasnt at either and cant remember what the turnout was
  6. all of the above. you can slate the town, the council, the politics, immigrants, drugs, lowlife scumbags all week long but come saturday /tuesday theres 1 thing that matters, supporting 11 men that are fighting for 3 points for the fans, come matchday im proud to represent oldham fc and oldham town , im struggling this month financially the cars in the garage, im nearly down 2 the bare bones already yet i know ill be at bp for tomorrow and carlisle , and the trips to huddersfield , bristol and milton keynes , why? for the club, for town, the 2 come as 1
  7. oldham is a :censored:hole hence the reason im now settled in bury, but hate is a strong word and if anyone criticises it im the 1st to defend the towns name. born in it were my family friends and football club and to travel outside an OL postcode aint going to feel right .
  8. after a performance and scoreline like that , id expect 5000 if we were playing breeze hill, im not saying it will happen but it will give an indication as to why so many are staying away , either way
  9. if we dont get the 2nd biggest crowd of the season on saturday, then we may have 2 finally resign ourselves to the fact that long term, oafc are doomed
  10. i would settle for relegation scraps for the next 5 years whilst visiting championship teams every other week and seeing better football / attendances at bp
  11. even if the board want to cash in now and sell him for 100k less than hes worth, the ultimate decision surely lies with chris. i dont think theres more than 8/9 teams in the championship that could tempt him away from the club he loves, or with the finances to pay a much improved wage.. yes we need the money in the long term but we also need some success in the short term. taylor is not instrumental to us winning games but not having him here wont improve our promotion aspirations , the money will be sealed in a bag, maybe help to pay morais wage next season and the wages of a couple of freebies
  12. btw, was that reubens wife that he came over to at the end? why the hell was she sat with us scrotes in the away end as opposed to a warm exec box?? fair play!
  13. there was also a latics fan on about 6pm , a female who i believe did a fantastic job in getting her points accross, as good as or maybe even better than any man could of done
  14. walsall had the better of the 1st half, amos pulled of a save that cech would be proud and his goalkeeping in general showed why hes contracted to the red scum.. we were the better side 2nd half imo but our defending all night looked shaky. the lads except maybe tonk looked absolutely knackered after 70 mins. a good point really in the end, we were pretty poor. about 250 latics id say, tho apart from the come on oldham rally calls at corners, atmosphere was shiyt.
  15. 208 latics to witness a score draw.. morais 1st goal...
  16. in the past 3 years at carlisle , i must of been sat for no more than 4 of the 270 minutes, its one of my favourites the stand provides great accoustics almost as good as walsall
  17. both, tho driving down solo tuesday so i may change my mind at 17.00pm- 3 spare seats if anyone needs..
  18. cant remember ever having access to the standing behind the goal at carlisle ??
  19. for all those that say youd stop following football completely , sorry but i cant accept that. how were you through december when we didnt play for weeks? personally i was fed up of saturday shopping with the woman it was close to being unbearable . youd never have the same passion supporting another team, not even a well run, newly established 2011 oldham team, but im sure we'd all find someone eventually
  20. extra beer tokens that you didnt think you had a few hrs ago , it looks like lad..
  21. haha that qualifies you enough i suppose , bet if you took a tenner from every 60 pound fine you must have prevented a friend/family member from paying, youd be searching for a new local team to support in the caribbean
  22. ive been busted twice with tickets from these private enforcers , both times written to them explaining that i refuse to pay and asking what happens next , didnt get any response and not a penny left my bank. but if leeslover knows his stuff sounds like i neednt bother with the letters?
  23. for all those that i know are interested my gp tried to tell me it was swine flu and hence none of the above would work- as was said above the only thing that could be done is let it run its course
