My mates a Crewe fan....he said it's never dull at Crewe. He said they are usually fighting to go up or stay up, and he's been to more promotion celebrations and play off's than me in these last 18 years. He doesn't understand why we are relieved to slot in at no 16 come the end of the season, he says "you'd be better going down then you can look forward to a season where you can try and get up again" Calls us Groundhog Athletic!

Don't think Corney would be contemplating this if he didnt see a profit in the future to send back to his New York paymasters. Barry must go whether he signs or not though.

Read all the post's has anybody thought about the other players? Maybe a quarter of them might not want anything to do with the club if he sign's. just a thought.

Took a step back today and read some facts on the trial....and the circumstances leading upto the incident! What happens if he is innocent? Its not like people haven't been wrongly convicted before. A lot of people on here would have hung the IRA lads imprisoned and vilified for years in prison only to find out later it was a set up and they were released. The case was as flaky as :censored:. The girl in question didn't even make a complaint over rape, if when questioned he had replied "no comment" to every question it wouldnt even have got to court, but he admitted to having sex with her. And before anybody has a pop i have 2 daughters 1 of them 2 years older than the girl in question, she can't walk in shoe's like the girl in question had on walking into that hotel that night when sober never mind pissed. He may have pulled the wool over my eyes with the website etc we will never know. But before everyone joins the lynchmob culture and declares he he guily and should never play for us or anyone else for that matter you could all take a look at the facts that are out there for all to read. It makes for interesting reading.

Well i support Oldham......and i have to carry on supporting them. To be honest i wish it had been another club but looks like it is happening. He will be so unfit he won't play for ages and if he gets the conviction quashed a lot of other clubs will be wishing they had taken the gamble. The issue will be if the conviction stands as he and the club will take stick as long as he is at the club. What will piss me off is if it is overturned and he goes to another club soon after...there should be a decent minimum payoff for taking this gamble. But this was going to happen somewhere, and those people saying we are a family club like there are only a handful of family clubs is bollocks, most clubs will class themselves as family clubs. But if he scores the winner in the play off final and gets us out of this god awful division after so long then i will cheer as loudly as ever because im an Oldham fan not a Ched Evens fan.

If the conviction gets overturned every championship, 1st and 2nd division club will be kicking themselves.

I sit with my brother every game and we are completely devided on Kelly...he see's him as the ultimate unsung hero stopping the opposition forward momentum...i just see him as the best backward passer of a ball and our worst at passing forward.... Funny old game!

Make key players like Kelly when the planets are perfectly aligned and the short 10 ten yard forward pass is on leaving Philiskirk who is running forward and through on a 1 on 1 chance with there keeper not :censored: up and pass it 6 foot behind him!

Actually archicat....he did have a good first half, so why change to being so negative in the second? I really have seen a massive improvement over the last 10 or so games but he took a backward step today. just a shame he sometimes loses us that forward momentum.

Another midfielder probably....at least he might be able to make a forward pass rather than sideways or backwards...that was :censored: today from Kelly!

We need to sign a striker this week otherwise when we play Donny the 2 short arsed would be football philosophers can compare notes on how they can talk the talk all day but can't walk the walk. Or I suggest LJ :censored:s off and takes all his mates with him. Making Kelly our captain is a joke and he needs to drop him for the next game. No other team in this division would keep playing him after those inept performances week in week out let alone make him the captain. We all make mistakes but its a bigger mistake to not admit you :censored:ed up and do something about it!

Why after Forte ripped em 1st half did they not think to give him the ball 2nd half?. Captain Kelly should have been dragged off he was :censored:....this could go on and on.

Totally agree regarding Winchester and Mellor. Winchester seems to look settled and contributes when playing. Mellor looks frightened to death and plays like he doesn't want to be on the pitch.

Anything Tangerine as opposed to Hi Viz would do!

He's in the right place there for his dodgy ways....not manage it when told to get a yellow there and he'll end up in a tin of dog food!
