  1. I didn’t say sack him I said I think we’ve got the wrong manager. That was a totally embarrassing performance today and it’s not for the 1st time either that we’ve looked like a bloody pub team. He’s signed 6 players and in my opinion it’s made no difference whatsoever. Only Garner has had a positive effect and two of them were left out of the squad all together. We may as well have saved the money and persisted with Shelton, Hope, Tollit & Dickenson who are no worse! How much longer is he prepared to play this one dimensional hoof ball? We will be expected to set the pace next season and be challenging for the top spot but I’ve seen absolutely no evidence to suggest we have even the nucleus of a side capable of doing that…..
  2. Am I watching a National League side? This is Sunday league stuff……absolutely shambolic!! Cant wait to hear what Mellon says after this debacle. I’ll say it now and I don’t care about the reaction….despite his promotion record I think we have the wrong manager!
  3. One or two of our players do not look happy, notably Hogan. The disorganisation is alarming!!
  4. I think Mellon is as much to blame. He fucks around with the line-up week on week and I don’t think he has a fucking clue what his best team is or how he wants them to play. We’ve had Sachdev, Sutton, and Hogan all playing RWB recently…. a settled side would be a good start surely?
  5. Yet another team with players far more comfortable than us on the ball.
  6. They’re looking the more likely to score so far.
  7. Can’t be hoof ball today….got to play it on the deck!
  8. Walker still not featuring in a match day squad is puzzling to say the least!
  9. I think they probably could….I don’t think they’ll be too pleased if ticketless fans end up milling around outside the ground or infiltrating the home ends!
  10. I’m not disputing what you say but that’s just weird! The police tend to have the final say in these situations. It is they who make the decision to move the KO time, it is they who make the decision for the games to be ‘all ticket’. If the ‘police’ had requested that we give them more tickets we would have to comply, surely?
  11. The thing that is most baffling to me is that a fair chunk of our signings under Unsworth were supposedly top players at their respective clubs ie. Lundstram, Willoughby, Ward, Shelton & even Nuttall yet they are now all probably surplus to requirements. They may have proved to be poor signings but surely poor tactics and coaching must have contributed in some way to their lack of progress!
  12. On the subject of home attendances, after reading the notes on OASF meeting with Darren Royle I’m pretty sure ST prices will be raised considerably regardless of division as we are currently experiencing considerable losses (which were expected) due to infrastructure costs following the club takeover. My current senior ticket at £175 works out at £7.61 a match which is, I believe, ridiculously low and appears to be one of the cheapest if not the cheapest in the division. I’m expecting a 30% increase which would put it to around £10 a game which would still be amazing value and still one of the cheapest in the league. However, If we are promoted It may go up even more and could have a considerable impact on ST sales next year. Whats the general consensus?
  13. Was he a recommendation or was he scouted?…..the reason he was brought back from Morecambe was a lack of game time. I guess it won’t be long before he returns to Blackburn.
  14. Speaking of food the C/O pies in the JR Stand are bloody awful. A lukewarm, dry and tasteless offering @ £4 a pop!!
