    It was unbelievable the effect that Stainrod had at Latics in just over 18 months. The day he was sold, a very white Jimmy Kirton who was my boss at the time came into the lunchroom and told me he had gone. I was equally devastated! Then we signed Roger who? Roger :censored:ing who?

    I will be based in Birmingham on a 9-12 month contract which means that I will be up at BP (it will always be BP) as much as I can for our promotion year. I think the project kicks off in September. If anyone is happy to meet up and put some faces to the traces, let me know.

    All in the first half IIRC. Shaw was pure class. We had some damn good strikers around that era....Shaw, Halom, Young, Taylor and Stan. I reckon Taylor was just as quick as Shaw.
