  1. I know it's late/early so I'm probably being thick, but where is the link to buy it on his kickstarter page? Can't see the wood for the trees
  2. Green doesn't help anyone who plays centre midfield with him because he lacks positional discipline. I'm not saying it's all his fault, he might have been told to get up & down, but it leaves whoever is the other bloke to be played around easily while he's up field (mainly Fane left looking rubbish) or not able to play a simple role because you don't know if he's playing in support of strikers or getting back defensively. If you had two like Green it'd probably work really well, but we haven't & our other midfielders don't know how to play alongside it, so they're painfully safe- until Banks yesterday!
  3. Surely Wilson injured. He'd offer more options than Edmundson off the bench.
  4. Can someone post on here as soon as? Not got Sky but desperate to know. Should probably prepare for disappointment!
  5. Lee Croft- 5 goals since 2009 yet some people still love him. Why? Winchester contributed loads more goals, but we're all unsure. Connor Brown has scored as many as Croft since he signed for us last. He is a stealing a living & you're daft for thinking otherwise
  6. Not seen any games but from what people say on here, Croft is a waste of a wage. Not quick enough to take a man on & doesn't score enough to warrant a contract. I've not seen his pre-season games but I've seen 40 odd other games & id rather the money be spent on a fast winger.
  7. I'd be happy to see a clause like that but it must damage relationships if he takes a step then is forced to take the step back down. Neil Adams did it at Norwich & maybe Redfearn did the same at Leeds, so it's possible. Just think it's not worth the risk when we must have other options lined up.
  8. TP is too important for our youth set up. We make more money from that than from senior first teamer sales. Trotman, Philiskirk (twice), Tarky, Scott Spencer, Eaves, Coleman, Renshaw all sold to keep the club going. If he got the job and it went badly, I'd hate to think that we'd have to sack him and lose one of the most important people at the club.
  9. I'm baffled by Jon Forte. I find myself slating him for 70 mins then he scores or sets up a goal & I look stupid! He doesn't look to be putting himself about but Shez has said its not all about running & he knows more than most
  10. The Mills thing is weird. Was the lad from Charlton much better? Lafferty was good but to see him get no look in under Sheridan was odd. Just thought he'd upset Dunn but must be more to it
  11. Dieng all day long for me. Stopped a lot of their attacks and made sure that Gerrard & B.Wilson had little to do. Great 3 points
  12. Grant Holt posted a few things on Twitter about Carlisle before the Everton game today. Didn't realise that was where he was from. Sounds like he might favour them to finish his career
  13. It's disgraceful the way Brentford treated Tarky if that's the reason he didn't play. They hung him out to dry with the initial statement. I'd be fuming if I was the lad. Call me cynic but these public statements help transfers get done. Brentford get their fans to turn on the player by saying he refuses to play so that the club don't get accused of lacking ambition. Tarky takes some crap off fans for a couple of weeks then gets the move that he wants. Win-win Think how we'd feel if it suddenly came out that Kelly had refused to play to push through a deal to Wigan. How many on here (including me) would say get rid if he doesn't like the club, compared to if the club just sold him for a fee that we thought was too low or undisclosed?
  14. It struck me today how physically weak our players look. No upper body strength. Most of those Bury players played extra time & pens with 10men midweek. Our lads had a rest but still looked weak. I know the early goal changes everything but my first game in new stand today & at pitch level it stood out.
  15. Think there's talent in that lad. Was decent back end of last season.
  16. How do we know that Yeates has not been putting off signing longer term cos he knew he had a better offer? Given how likely that is, I can't blame Dunn for not playing a lad whose commitment would be questioned. He was decent but didn't want to stay. Move on
  17. I'd be gutted to lose a local player with links to club but if it's him (& he's out of contract in 5months) or Kelly it's got to be Philly to go. Shame though
  18. Surely if he was what we wanted or vaguely affordable we would've signed him before Shrewsbury did. He looked unfit when he was here but Holden knows enough about him to advise Dunn about signing him. He's got a fair old ego on him though. Can't think of many other League 1 footballers who would knock back lesser offers to stay unemployed. That said, can't see many players risking a career threatening injury for no pay so he has to get some credit for that. We could do worse. Wouldn't be my first choice in Summer but could do what Locky did for us at a time when we're crying out for a leader
  19. Logic is fairly simple. 3000 people watch the home games live so more opinions when we play at home. 445 Latics there yesterday = fewer posts. Simples
  20. Match was boring, but the thing I want to know is if anyone has ever seen someone more pasty than Eckersley? Like Paul McShanes love child...magical!
  21. This is the board's fault. Should never have been appointed. Felt the most optimistic in years about the club when loads of Season tickets were sold in new stand, but club took a lot of excitement out of it by making an appointment that clearly said that mid-table was the top of our ambitions. I'm a realist after 17years in League 1. We're not a huge club and it's obvious that we won't have a big budget through FFP and attendances, but it's depressing when the board show that they don't have any belief that we could even 'do a Yeovil'. Fish have more use for bicycles than our club have for Barry Owen.
  22. I think there will be a surprising number of players with league experience who would be preferred to someone like Bove by a non league/conference/ league 2 club. Probably just as cheap too. It's a good move by the club & more meaningful than a few games or no games for the reserves.
