    I'd plan to start him next year. Really positive signing. As much I'd love JYM to stay, I think Tarky would be better alongside someone who can guide him through games like Byrne did at times. It can't be Byrne too often though as there's no pace between them. LJ wants a pressing game so a ball over the top of 2 slow CBs would destroy us. Also really hope Tarky gets a good pre-season behind him. He's had bad luck with injuries but I really like him.

    Think you're spot on oafc1955. Definitely need some experience in the spine of the team but I'm sure they're the sort of players with a few offers so we might have to wait a bit longer to get someone like that. Fingers crossed...

    Perhaps he's doing a Porter & the clubs that are interested are not in England & we'd get no fee. It's the only reason I can see the club missing out on a fee for him. I think he's a capable League 1 keeper so a bit disappointed to see him leave. Must be problems behind the scenes.

    Yes Barca are fan owned but still rely on massive income from sponsorship &100Euro tickets & income from the Champs League & money from stadium tours & negotiating their own tv deal & other revenue streams. That's without mentioning their huge staff of experts who they can attract and pay with said funds. Slight difference

    Think fans ownership only works where clubs have regular big attendances (Pompey) and/or a ground with facilities that bring cash in throughout the year. At the moment we have neither. It also relies on someone having expertise. I'll be interested to see how Pompey go. You can have a lot a good people trying their best but its no guarantee that the business side of things works without some experience.

    Think we ve got to set a fee of 300-400k then add-ons of 100-200k after a certain number of games. But more like 20games than 30 cos we all know he's likely to be suspended for a few & a loss in form might see us not get appearance add-ons until 2014-15 season. If there are as many clubs interested as has been reported we should be able to start a bidding war. Not quite Torres money but might squeeze an extra 50k

    I was really impressed with this lad when we played Bury so a good first signing. Hopefully minimum of 2yr deal as he ll need time to develop. Well worth a punt IMO. I expect our team to have more kids in it than Kevin Webster has in his garage so won't be surprised if we see a few more like JC-H.

    If after 45games you get yourself in a good position you can do what you want. It's not nice but is professional. If Posh had more points this couldn't have happened.

    It is odd. He's not first choice vs Bouzy so it must be new keepers all round. I'd be tempted to cut a wage there. Have a number 1 with the young reserve (Simpson?) as number 2. Even if 1st choice gets injured/sent off you can get a Championship emergency loan in for a month or play Gerrard. Wouldn't be upset to see Cisak as no 1 though

    What is the situation with Cisak? Surely if we have an option that could lead to us getting a fee we should do it then sell him? Not sure who has the option.

    Midfield needs major work. So few goals from this area & although we'd miss Crofts work-rate he hasn't scored in 40 odd appearances. We might be able to bring someone in who scores more and earns less. That said, I'd like to see him stay. Wonder if Winchester playing a few positions will convince LJ to keep him?

    Keep them all if poss. It's the first full season for virtually all of them except Cliff and JYM. All will have learned a lot so all worth keeping. For what it's worth I think Tarky is well worth keeping. If he can get and stay fit he's got a great chance of doing well. Deryres42 if you're not sure, watch 2nd half v Everton where he handles Fellaini better than most. Don't forget how few games he's had and be patient.

    This poll suggests we have a chance of keeping them. Corney said Smith off to Championship, Simmo said he ll sign if club can afford him (& we might not want to spend a high % of budget on him) and Taylor can't be thrilled about sitting in a poor League 1 teams reserves while we average a goal a game.

    I don't get the impression that there's much uncertainty about Smith. Big Jon & Crofty have said nice things about the club but Corney seemed certain that Championship clubs are after Smith. I wouldn't expect him to be here but I can't knock Smith. Corneys comments made a few months ago but he's shown total commitment when he's played even if he knows his future is elsewhere.

    Bouzanis because he wants to be here. I'd still try to do all we can to get some sort of fee for Cisak by triggering clause or tribunal

    Dickovs sacking was my champagne moment! Was very worried that we might be stuck with him if we couldn't afford to sack him. My WTF moment would be arriving to the ground, hearing Jose had signed a contract and hearing the length of it over the tannoy! Still amazes me! Think Corney hid something in Joses car and blackmailed him! Baxters pen still makes me so angry...but without his goals we'd have been down so all is forgiven!

    Liked hearing LJs anger after Swindon when Gordon asked if he was pleased with a draw. Struck me as a man who won't settle for the 'boys working ever so hard' then losing. Well done LJ! Roll on 13/14 season
