  1. Exactly, do you think barca will leave messi out when he is fit/ available. Jose is our Messi. I dont agree with this you dont change a winning team thing, maybe a team that has won 5 nil you wouldnt change , but a couple of 1 nil scrapes, still room for improvement in my eyes. I would make 2 changes Baxter for Barnard (dont think hes done much wrong but things not going right for him, might do him good coming from bench against tired defenders) and Millar for Simpson. Making JYM el capitano
  2. I seem to remember it being a night game so must have been roger palmer
  3. was thinking either roger or andy barlow, my memory is terrible. I dont remember going to both , could it have been a joint thing ? il put my memory loss down to a joint thing !
  4. was thinking the same but didnt want to rock the boat as such, the pitch invaders would look like complete twats instead of slight twats then
  5. Can anybody tell me who was the last player to have a testimonial for us ? i vaguely remember there being 1 when i was a child, standing in the chaddy ? im picturing it being against some team in red ? Also do you think we will ever see anybody stay around long enough for us to get one in the current merry-go-round of players in and out ? I very much doubt il be seeing a thirty something Jose stepping out for his .
  6. simpson has to go, if Baxter goes we will get good money, so be it ! The 2 most important for me ,but maybe the most unlikely are Croft and Matt Smith . I would offer them both improved deals for 2 years, as i beleive with the correct coaching , and a good pre season these 2 could be massive in league 1 next season. And if we tie them down for 2 years they become more valuable in the transfer window or end of season, depending on how we are doing.
  7. yeah cliff has been fantastic, and really seems to have the respect of all the lads, seems like he really can talk a good game, however i dont think he will be here next season as LJ probably has his backroom team lined up. And i cant really comment on Murray as i dont watch the ressies, maybe bp1960 could shed some light on his coaching /managing style for me ?
  8. For me the biggest problem is though that his best position is also Jose's best. So theres no room at the inn im afraid
  9. For all his effort i still feel he lacked quality when in good positions, clearly brought on by lack of confidence. Just looks like a player who knows hes off somewhre else to me. Thought Mellor was fantastic, what a great left peg that lad posseses and millar a threat again, could the future actually be bright ? If Korey was our player id say it could be bright, such a calming influence on the ball for a young lad
  10. Id actually say slaphead was right in this instance mate, i was sat right behind it and the full ball did not cross the line . Do we now need touchline technology ?
  11. It was not Great as somebody said, Fitz Halls debut against Hudds was great ! for me he was very shaky(as id expect) but the most worrying thing for me was or even is, he doesnt seem to have the correct technique of basic kicking of a football. Was this nerves ? or can somebody who has seen him in reserves tell me is that how he kicks a ball ? As somebody else said its amazing how we all see the game differently as i thought he needed more help and talking form JYM , especially in the first half. You might say JYM is only young but hes played an awful lot of first team games and you would expect has had excellent coaching from Sunderland. To me it looked as if it was only Cliff Byrne talking to him throughout . I think its great that the lad clearly has a great attitude and willingness to learn ,i just dont think he is even nearly ready, that said you could say he kept us all three points in the end. Good luck Glenn i hope you can have a future in the game
  12. I was sat in the Bury main stand after buying a ticket of a latic whose mates didnt have a ticket ( cheers fella) I was sat on my own just 20 yards from where the trouble ignited, god it was hard not celebrating too much. I think it was plainly obvious that the Bury fans should have been moved around and our fans segregated by police, did they not expect us to try to get in whatever the circumstances in such a vital local Derby. Ive been to bury countless times and we always take a great following regardless of the importance of the game, its only a bloody day saver away for most, so why they didnt have something in place is ludicrus. Id say that they missed out on 10k easily. Very silly and unavoidable in my eyes. I wont go as far as wishing them bust though like some , what goes around comes around and all that
  13. water waste of my time, lets change the subject, we wont go down-pour Bury will tho unless the stem the flood of goals they concede
  14. Probably just nipping out to Tescos for first aid equipment , no way he means shopping for players .
  15. Im new here so dont know how or indeed if i can do a poll but what do you guys reckon on these couple of dilemmas ive had myself, not been able to sleep and had to ring in work sick because of it .Here goes now please take a while before answering this is of real importance to me and my immediate family first up Andy Ritchie or Ronnie jepson ? and next the manager bit which really has me stumped Mick Wadsworth or Joe Royle ?
  16. More the fool you ! what happens if the manager is only appointed till the end of the season ? Is that classed as the next permanent manager or not ? As that is whats quoted when you place a bet. Personally think its daft to bet on this market, when you can just place a simple acca, for better odds with less liability
  17. And heres to hoping he gets a great reception, he never wanted to fail here and im sure he has alot of respect for our club, just hope our resident numb nuts dont give him any unwanted grief. Top bloke not so top manager ( yet)
  18. no but i bet it was only me who thought of Peter Kay being assisted by Paddy McGuinnes
  19. Was thinking similar, I can see Dowie being very interested in the Preston job, im pretty sure they could get closer to his sky wages than us , with that said maybe they looking at a bigger appointment.
  20. Theres a reason we have these players at this level, its the inconsistency. They wont look like world beaters every game but if you utilise them correctly they can be a constant threat as in the defenders wont be able to relax and in turn this can create space and oppurtunities for others. If you want to see better technical players week after week may i suggest la liga on sky sports . Im sure they would also perform better with a bit of support as opposed to ripping them to pieces verbally and constantly groaning . I know its frustrating but im happy if a player tries to do the right thing, even if they dont pull it off ( oooooooh matron ) everytime.
  21. well i took a girl to wales once, yeah to bangor. Sharp was top notch as a player i remember his free kick against Arsenal , real high quality. Bit of a knobend though according to Tricky's book
  22. nobody has a clue who it is , not keegan , chambers or cheeseman , so whats with all the cryptics ? Also whats with the attention seekers pretending they have insiders etc, what is it ? Bit sad i say, speculating something will happen hope they are right, and say i told you so . And why is it always 48 hours ? Just stick to writing on the crappy rumours site atleast that way everyone knows its bullturd. One thing we do know is its upto TP at the moment so lets get behind him for now, and stick it to the other lot of work dodgers on saturday, enjoy the day and then worry about our league scrap
