    The old Hollinwood Gas Works site. alongside the M60 and next to the tram stop/ main bus routes and surrounded by pubs and eating places. OMBC would like a gateway project for the toen..here it is. I did mention this to AH but he said it was rejected because the land was contamaminted... but it is a big site and may well be 30 acres +.

    I thought that Kelly had all of the attributes of a good goalscorer..but like O'Grady .. he has never been given a chance.

    Plenty of fans home and away from BP may want to donate sommat to the club over and above attending matches or buying stuff from the shop. Why not set up a dedicated premium rate telephone line where a dial in to listen to PD saying Happy Christmas (or nothing except thank you) costs £1 plus call charges. More dedicated fans of course would call more often! Just a thought.

    I think that I have said before that currently the Comprehensive Spending Review is having a massive impact on Agencies and Central Gov Departments as their senior staff are all trying to make 25%- 33% cuts and still maintain outputs. There will be delays because of this.

    Why would the Charity Commission reply to an email from a non-stakeholder - surely the reply has to be direct to one person only and that is the person who submitted the application. I cannot believe it is true because if it is, the sender has just lost his/her job. Hold on, surely this is a general holding response that coujld have been drafted weeks or months ago.

    A very big issue will be that the Comprehensive Spending Review will have had a huge impact. Ministersl have stopped all normal work to assess the relevance of the job they do.. should it be broken and the work transferred to other gencies etc. - could be that there are large resouce cuts in the offing all will have eaten into the normal day to day work. Add snow to that and you have the answer.

    It's amazing that Chapel Road is fit for play yet the top notch BP pitch is unfit! I bet that BP is 100% fit to play.

    Is the decision in instances like this left to people who are not professionally qualified to make decisions??? In my view a scientific and proven approach is required.. to walk about on the pitch and provide a view is not good enough. What does the chap involved know aobut the drainage at BP, the type of surface, the rate of frost removal given the temperature etc? I would prefer the De-Grasso people to make decisions on behalf of the Football League. All very amateurish.
