I always rated Danny W highly as well as O'Grady .... I just doubt my judgement when most others hated them both.

I recently terminated my membership for personal reasons. 3 Suggestions for you:- I wrote an email tendering my resignation and never received a reply. I suggest that if others drop out that the hand of friendship is extended by the committee to find out why. I have made this suggestion at least twice and I think that it really cojuld bear fruit. Challenge every current member to find one other member. Have this challenge say every three years. If you have 100 members, over 10 years you could be looking at real growth... Have bi-monthly quizzes at pubs in various parts of the Boro - get the landlord to provide free food and sell lottery tickets.

Why am I suddenly getting a lot of flashing adverts on this and other sites. When I say flashing, I really mean rapid flickering of pop up type of adds. On some sites it is a distinct background type of add box that tries continually to imposr itself on the main screen and flickers on and off very fast. On this site I can see betting odds at the top of the screen but again on/off/on/off etc. Adobe Flash installed a new version today. Any suggestions? I have deleted it once but then some sites will not load.

I haven't had a season ticket for the last 12 months. Nothing I saw this year has persuaded me to renew. But, if the club sourced a good few players who whet my appetite, I may renew. But I will not renew after the discoount period. If the discount period went to say the first week in July then you may have me on board. I am fed up of loan players though.

Reading the OS there is mention of ex Latics Co Sec being invited to walk up to collect the cup yesterday. Bernard Halford was Latics Co Sec in the past before leaviong to fill the same role at City. It mentions that he was the last Co Sec in post that won a trophy at City and that reminded me.... The day following City winning the Cup (was in the League Cup?) I went for a pint in my local which was the Jolly Hatters on Featherstall Road Oldham. You "young uns" have missed out. In those days there were pubs on every street corner and half way down every street... we didn't realise we lived in paradise. Anyway, I went into the pub and wallked into the taproom and low and behold there was the League Cup sat on a table next to a nice purple velvet bag... with Bernard Halford quaffing ale and a young Jimmy Frizzel sat next to him...just imagine at that time City fans were jubilant at winning and the Cup was sat in the tap room of an Oldham pub!

Can anyone tell me how a board functions without a Chief Exec and Co Sec sitting on it? Weird Corporate Governance to me! And how can one man fill both roles and not sit on the board....

And they have tried to tie it into their history, their region and local large backers... ours is the worst in the world. An owl looking at you with sommat behind it..absolute TRASH. The biggest worry for me is the minds that approved it are the same minds trying to create a succesful club.

Does this mean and end to the traffic warden moderator culture whereby the slighest duplication in threads results in culling/moving within seconds? If I will vote for that and it might even make me more interested in Latics.
