  1. But if they consult that does not mean they have to agree to any council suggested changes to their application to build or am I reading your statement wrong?
  2. I always got the impression that they were overwhelmed by the numbers of people signing up for this service and I didn't really expect too much improvement at first. I would imagine most of the first half of the year would have been subscription and log in issues so maybe now we can get them to fine tune their product. Be reminded that many of you subscribing are doing so in contradiction of the service agreement and getting too vocal/nasty may see you denied a service ( Not aimed at you Bristols )
  3. Well when he signs for us I might change my opinion but till then
  4. One thing that annoys the hell out of me is seeing an otherwise talented footballer using just one foot to the detriment of himself and inveribaly the team. I am so looking forward to seeing this player for some reason, my brothers - my usual source of info - know nothing about him and I have not seen him in any clips but several sources have mentioned that he was the best player in the Irish league so hopefully in a few weeks of building match fitness we might have a good player.
  5. The choices on the bench recently have been packed with forwards and or wingers and strangely lacking in a good central midfielder. McEleny ( if fit) Nepo - AH - Wilson (or Hunt depending on fitness ) - le paz - Ryan McLaughlin The bench is harder to choose and depends on fitness levels that we may not be privy to. Don't want to see Tope again and would give the likes of Maouche another chance instead.
  6. Upvote just for the chance to see Bjork again ..... How cool were the Sugarcubes?
  7. Good article Now if only we can give Byrne a pitch to match his ability then we have the most talented player since Jose Baxter on our books. But in the meantime how he is expected to play to his best on that plowed paddock at Ice Station Zebra I don't know.
  8. Leeds is a common one - how I remember that goal they scored in the playoffs straight after the kick off from us scoring the goal that 'won' us the game. And the violence both real and perceived was certainly a big factor hence Leeds are also in my top 3 hated teams though they probably don't even think about us one bit. Manchester City may seem strange to those that are very young or that are old enough to remember when they used to be a big club, but in the mid 80's City were shit and in a free fall to oblivion. They were a genuine rival to us and sometimes they were even our bitches. If you started your interest in football during the 80's you always had a feeling that we would beat City because we were often the better and IMO the bigger team. Burnley is a strange one to choose Andy B - That Anglo Scottish final in the 70's when they thumped us left a scar on me that still itches today, but strangely they are a team I respect not hate. During the 80's they spent most of their time in the lowest division so I am not sure why you consider them rivals. So many of their players I had a soft spot for over the years. Leighton James, Peter Noble, Billy Hamilton, our own Stevie Taylor, David Eyres and Ron Futcher.
  9. Let's keep it real - Blackpool charges for coach parking while Scunthorpe council probably subsidize coaches and trains to bring visitors.
  10. That was an interesting read - and still a good blueprint for what a new owner should attempt, without Ken Bates ...ermm...colourful... business dealings of course!
  11. Within a month Name the Jimmy Frizzell stand correctly Improve the concourse facilities and outlets in the Jimmy Frizzell and northern stands. Offseason new pitch Have plans in place for a new main stand ready to go in case of promotion but hold back on that expenditure until we actually are going to get promoted.
  12. I'm happy for AH to be on the bench, he has talent and can hold up the ball and pass it on quite well, he is way better than the likes of Tope - but a natural goal scorer? No.
  13. And failing to score the last minute winner at Bastard rovers?
  14. AH proves again he is not a natural goalscorer - but we won!
  15. come on Oldham lets not stuff this up we need the 3 points
  16. Byrne off for tope - mmmmmm not sure what tope brings
  17. This pitch is not helping us play Maybe time to just go long ball
