  1. yes hopefully we are I share the same sentiments but think FC will be in it for the long haul.
  2. im not sure the couple of fans i knew supported their team the same as i do mine, they seem to have a vision at least and the fans seem to be involved most of all though they are making it happen, which is more than can be said for us who cant even run a trust or even know its purpose.
  3. looking at the plans they are having 4 stands built its a community club and built on those principals they should do okay.
  4. looking at the initial capacity of 5000 they may well out grow that who knows, worked with a couple of supporters a couple of years ago and they went home and away, exciting times ahead.
  5. maybe some lessons to be learned there, fair play to all involved, thanks for taking the time to post.
  6. are we not entitled to any grants, for one surely the council should chip in ?
  7. Find it amazing that a club that has existed for very few years are builing a ground from scratch that would be capable of holding our biggest gate this season, went past today and all the groundworks are complete and the steel structures have going up for the stands, dont know if they will be in there new home for next season it just makes me wonder why firstly our new stand is going up at a snails pace and secondly how are they financing it on crowds of a couple of thousand ?
  8. maybe them are the same people who contribute to the graveyard atmoshpere at games ? I dont give a monkeys if he wants to get on the football league show he has a genuine love and passion for the club which is sadly lacking in the stands at the moment as well as on the pitch at times but there you go.
  9. was on the pitch saturday, chaddy will be 21 on the 8th march all latics fans invited to celebrate with him dj and karaoke in the ace on fitton hill see you there.
  10. pain in the arse in what way ? passion and enthusiasm go a long way nothing wrong with that, he is a super fan cant be more than a few dozen who have been to every game this season and i respect that.
  11. where does he call the player in that interview, of course the headline states it, Ferguson was always protective of his younger players and if he did talk about them he would always put a positive in an answer along with the negative to give it some balance.
  12. dont dispute that, and if thats the case get him in the office and have it out with him no need to play it out in the press its poor management and in my book a sign of weakness, you dont see Simon Corney going through the press if he has a problem with LJ do you ?
  13. Okay if its accepted practice find me one quote where ferguson, mouirnho, wenger, rodgers, pellegrini openly in a press conference slags of his own man. Its nothing to do with having something to say in a press conference if thats the case say :censored: all, dont make some :censored:e up about one of your own men, wouldnt wanna be in the trenches with the bloke if thats his style.
  14. i was there also sean mccarthys goal not enough to keep us up in a 1-1, had a tear in my eye when the players came over to applaud our support at the final whistle, have been to a few spurs games over the yearss as i was married to a spurs fan, doesnt compare to BP though.
  15. ive stared previously that I think he is the right man just dont understand running your players down in public never liked it never will, just because its something Johnson may of responded to as a player doesnt make it okay for everyone, you just dont see good managers do it and its a bad trait of his, it leads to problems like this one.
  16. think the way he singles players out publicly is something LJ has to stop, being blamed for the MK Dons defeat when he came on as a late sub and publicly critisised constantly is something that would piss me off, especially when some of it isnt warranted, maybe thats why he finds it easier to manage friends and ex team mates. Lets face it the lads confidence would of dipped when Stead came in and the lad probably needed an arm round is shoulder not :censored: off the gaffer.
  17. is he any closer to having that new stand named after him
  18. the 0-0 draw was played on a saturday, when we won promotion I stood in a paddock along the side of the pitch in what is known as the cobbold stand almost level with the goal went in a pub not far from the away end it was full of latics, the 0-0 was in the winter and they put us in the same part of the ground but in the top tier, funnily enough went in the same boozer and i was the only one in there!
  19. we prob couldnt afford to pay him what hull give him he signed a new contract with them last summer
  20. doesnt take many to get an atmosphere going at a ground for years i did it myself or was part of doing it, its not everyones cup of tea but the lad wears his heart on his sleeve and it did make a difference in the rre on saturday.
  21. im sure there isnt because i sit near them and ive stood with him at away games, why wouldnt the same apply to me then ? he does nothing that 100 others are doing as well so why has he been singled out ?
  22. didnt help the atmosphere as the boy who starts a lot of the singing in the rre was asked by the police to sit in the chaddy end they say he will be barred if he doesnt do as hes told and are considering banning him from away games also. He hasnt missed a game yet he is 15 and enthusiastic nothing more but the jobsworth stewards wont let the kids enjoy themselves he has been warned about standing and taking his top off but he is 15 and isnt hurting anyone, the club shooting itself in the foot yet again IMO
