  1. he is 4th choice at Hull if they stay up they may look to farm him out but maybe to a championship team, if he was available I would go with him another season.
  2. fair play to you, the same fans from our premier league days are probably the same ones who went to anfield and goodison last season and anfield the year before but to get out of this league and aim for the championship we wont do it with 3000 diehards.
  3. didnt say it was attractive just said it would be nice if a fifth of those who made the trip to anfield could make it, its a shame when we take nearly twice as many to anfield as we do for an home game but part and parcel of being a football fan, always remember going to ipswich when we went up from the old 2nd division and won 2-1 must of been 2000 make the trip to suffolk, we played them again a couple os seasons later, sean mccarthys debut and there was 78 of us in the away end and 2 of them were bradford fans.
  4. rather a ref let the game flow than one who blows every time a players touched even if it means a couple of decisions go against us, when we have played well this seasons opponents have used picky refs who blow for nothing to break play up against us causing us to lose momentum.
  5. we wasnt great at home and were a little lucky away could easily of drawn both i think but didnt deserve to lose eitherp
  6. the point im trying to make is that he has said on record that they came for the draw, im sorry great win but we could of been out of site at half time, even playing the 4-5-1 they caused us no end of problems.
  7. just seen a snipet of LJ's post match interview and he states that effectively Gillingham came with a 4-5-1 to kill the game and nail us down, im sorry but was he at the match 51/49 possesion for gills 15/5 shots to gills, 8/3 shots on target to gills now i will take a stuffy win over playing well and getting nothing but for the manager to see it like that worries me, at least I agree with his analysis that ox was mom.
  8. thought stead looked sharper and linked up quite well especially 1st half.
  9. im sure they will beat the 90 Stevenage managed last month
  10. good job the gills forwards had their toblerone boots on, agree ox outstanding I thought wilson and lockwood looked better but why does it feel like every opposition attack troubles us, grounds doesnt look as comfortable at lb as he does at cb and dayton is a waste of space he did nothing in either half of the pitch, stead is getting there, philly is a little frustrating and harkins was magical again, his quality is worth the 20 quid alone the goal was pure class the celebration even better he took the piss out of their right back all day long.
  11. Started watchin Oldham in 1985 at the age of 12 was thinking back over the years and remembering which players have stuck out over the years as my favourites my first was Gary Hoolikin my all time would be Andy Ritchie and my current is Wes does anybody agree with me ? be interesting to hear the views of some of the older and younger fans.
  12. spurs wasnt over £40 when we was in the premiership been quite a few times most recently a couple of years ago and it was £36 then for a cat C game which i presume Oldham would of been in those days there was only 20 odd thousand there and we lost 4-1 cant remember who scored for us but we let a few late goals in and i think gerrard had a bit of a mare, it wasnt more than 30 quid in thats for sure. Arsenal wasnt the most expensive neither its only since they moved that they have hiked the prices right up, if my memories correct Chelsea started inflating the prices first but i still remember going to Chelsea in 1992 first game of the season when beasent was lobbed by henry from the halfway line to equalise that ended 1-1 and that definately wasnt more than £20 to get in, only around 20,000 there that day about a 1,000 tics, how things change eh.
  13. produced a 2 million pound defender in tarky so its prob paid for itself
  14. is this thread about connor brown, they have similarities mainly that neither look comfortable with the ball at their feet.
  15. why are we talking of rogers as a loss manager seems to have lost all faith and cant remember him being involved since anfield, he even brought mellor on at home to city when it was crying out for someone like rodgers
  16. Sometimes a manager has to be honest with the supporters, over and beyond the players. They are not stupid. As long as you dont criticise individual players in public, admonishing the team is fine, not a problem. We can all share in the blame: the manager, his staff, the players. Expressed properly, criticism can be an acceptance of collective responsibility. Wise words ?
  17. just what was needed may prove to be the best bit of buisness the clubs done for a while, take some pressure of LJ and an experianced head around the place who he can bounce ideas off, dont really know murray in a coaching capacity but suspect wright might just add a bit more to the team.
