The club deemed it as something strong enough to go to a final warning, and he then continues to post stupid things, then it really doesn't matter. He deserves to be bombed out.

If the club don't want to publicise what it was (nor should they if it's an internal matter) then I'm not going to do it for them, potentially causing unwanted issues.

Nothing good comes from social media posts !!!!!  :getmecoat:

Great player.A real crowd pleaser whom I'm glad to have seen him play for us.I recall him playing here for Shrewsbury and being amazed. Him and Les Chapman had a  mens fashion  shop on Hollins Road which was where i went to  a lot.

You still going there ?   😉

I don't get to many games but I reckon Norwood has had a 1 on 1 in all of them and not scored any.  Probably not a representative sample!

Yes earlier on the season when he went 1 on 1 with the goalie I was confident he'd score ( Rochdale and Barnet being examples ) but recently he's missed a few as well as fluffing some from around or inside the penalty spot so I definitely wouldn't be rushing him back.

Interesting chat on the strikers. For me, in a clutch game you have to play Norwood over pretty much anyone else, as long as he's 100% fit. I like Fondop and his all round game has really improved under Mellon. But on Saturday he missed 2 very good chances in the first half, but then got 2 more and scored. In a big end of season game, you might only get 1 or 2 chances so you need players on the pitch who are more likely to take that chance. But it'd be a great problem to have.

On celebrations... I will 100% be sobbing uncontrollably and hugging strangers in the stand at Wembley if we win the playoffs!

Would agree with your views if  Norwood had not missed quite a few relatively simple snap chances for a man of his ability during the season.  Fondop for all his faults seems to have had a new leases of life recently and Garner has hit the ground running so it's open to debate and a good problem to have !  👍

I`m going to be straight to the point rather than pussy footing around the edges. I`ve only seen us the last 3 games and we look a poor side. I've no idea where all this money has gone, it's certainly not been spent on quality players. That said, if Latics do get promoted via the play-offs, it illustrates how awful the standard is in this league. A few are saying "it's a tough league" etc. It's not, the standard is dreadful. The pub teams analogy is fair from what I've seen. That's exactly why Chesterfield are already 23 points clear of anyone else i.e. a decent side and you sail through this so called tough league. If I was the owner, I would be seething. With the amount of money we have allegedly thrown at it, we should be promoted this year. If we are not, that is failure in anybody's book. It's all down to the inability of those trusted to put together a good side, not to have put together a good side. Simple as that.

Were you happy in Spain ?

You should be able to defend well with 7 or 8 at the back.

One pre match song they won't play at BP is 'Let Me Entertain You'.

What will be said if the play offs aren't achieved with turgid football throughout? The backlash will be enormous.

I'd prefer a pitch at the play offs with exciting football, but I'm a dinosaur and spoiled by past promotion bids.

The problem is we haven't got the players on board who can produce this "Shangri La" type football so until we get a comprehensive overhaul in staff we need to be a bit more pragmatic in outlook.

Yes, but he's rarely played in an advanced role, more of a spoiler in midfield.

Will MM change the deep MCs tactic? Most unlikely I'd say.

He does seem to have quite a few forward forays nowadays, often leading the press, and his goals tally from midfield shames all bar Dickenson.

I might start to worry we won't finish in the top 5 if we don't win tonight.

    I say I might I probably won't.

But seriously with Norwood out for potentially a couple of months someone needs to step up, it's an opportunity for someone and they have to grab it. We win a the next few games then the mood will change and we can put the last 2 games down to one offs or the National League being the National League.

You'll be on your own if you go tonight !!  😀
