  1. Should be looking at 3k+ here to be honest. It’s not often we get to see Latics in the 4th round of the FA cup.
  2. https://www.oldhamathletic.co.uk/news/2019/january/11012019-doncaster-rovers-match-details/ 3pm Saturday 26th. £10 a ticket, £5 concessions. Let’s take an army!
  3. Yes. Another opinion that the Yernited loving pundits have hammered down our throats for the past 10 years to the point that it has now become conventional wisdom. I’ve watched Carrick enough with my own eyes and he’s never stood out as anything other than bang average.
  4. Wes Brown, Nani, Anderson, Carrick etc all have multiple PL winners’ medals and a 2008 CL winners’ medal from their time spent at United. They’re all very average footballers.
  5. Being part of a successful team doesn’t make you a world class individual. Plenty of poor footballers have won the most prestigious competitions. He was a good player who won more trophies, and earned more money, than any of us could dream of but I still stand by my opinion. He was never on that elite level. I’ll accept I’m in the minority who doesn’t rate him as one of England’s best ever and agree to disagree.
  6. Averaged about 4 assists a season did our Paul. Supposedly the best passer the country has ever produced because he once hit a tree in training . Good player but never world class. His individual awards back that up. Gerrard and Lampard are streets ahead imo.
  7. The Yernited love in if Scholes got the gig would be nauseating to say the least. Don’t think I could *bear it. Also not having that he was world class, overrated player who got better in retirement. Shouldn’t be spoken about in the same breath as Gerrard and Lampard.
  8. We’ll take 4,000 again, clubs always take big followings in the fourth round. I remember Huddersfield filling the RRE in 2008 and then only bringing about 1,200 for the league game a few weeks later.
  9. I will take a team that’ll spank us if it’s actually a decent away day. Manchester is an awful City and their away end is shit because you’re split over 3 tiers.
  10. Recency bias for sure. There’s some absolute dross at League One level.
  11. Fulham are know for being very strict on drunken entry. This will obviously be very hard to police given that pretty much everyone in the away end will have been on the lash all morning but it's probably best to stay muted until you're inside. They also regularly have drug and pyro sniffer dogs on the away turnstiles. Whether such invasive measures will be employed for a cup game against a fourth tier side I'm unsure but it definitely consistently happens for their league games. Obviously none of our fans would ever partake in any illegal activities so I'm not even sure why I'm sharing this.... It's gonna be a memorable day
  12. Great post. He’s a very intelligent footballer.
  13. County have a very good squad on paper. It’s all a bit odd...
  14. Weren’t we on about a 10 game winless run when we rocked up at the city ground 6 years ago? Anything can happen in these games.
  15. Pete Wild will probably get the gig full-time with Abdallah expecting him to perform his current role as well as being gaffer...
