  1. Appointing a New Manager a bit random ? Appreciate we seem to be appointing a new one fairly regularly these days but . . . Do you think the silence is simply a symptom of fatigue from the Trust then
  2. Not even a welcome from the Trust for the new Manager How can absolute silence be representing our Supporters
  3. nonaenever For me the appointment of John Sheridan is our only chance of maintaining our League One status (considering both his OAFC knowledge and his proven experience) However positive we hope that will be, nothing else has changed at our Club Our many concerns as Supporters remain and I would ask you continue with the proposed meeting on the 24th January with the Chairman Your approach has been very proper and has been as most Supporters wanted, to represent all of us in a courteous fact finding meeting If we don't take this invitation up from the Chairman I feel it would be just another wasted opportunity
  4. Matt Chambers twitter shows todays back page of the Oldham Chronicle with headlines: END GAME - Robinson's six-month reign as Latics boss over
  5. SSN reports: Nottingham business man Alan Hardy has bought Notts County Kevin Nolan likely to become the New Manager
  6. Well done OWTB Some great banter on here, some absolute 'fruitcakes' but if you don't take them too seriously even they can be funny One of the few good things we have left as Latics Supporters
  7. There cant be many Clubs get the chance to meet their Club Chairman, especially when things aren't going well Let nonaenever and fellow supporters make the most of the opportunity We're all looking forward to the responses regarding our concerns Hopefully the start of improved communication and increased engagement between the Club and its Supporters
  8. Likely not perfect 'Senor' but their standing with their Club seems to still be intact even with new Owners
  9. Can't help thinking that a more 'connected' Supporters Trust would help us all be more engaged and informed Swansea City seem to be well progressed see www.swanstrust.co.uk Their statement regarding the appointment of their new Manager is something we should be looking to achieve ourselves: The Swans Trust is pleased to confirm that we were fully consulted by other Shareholders in the appointment of Paul Clements as the man to replace Bob Bradley as Swans Boss
  10. Can't help thinking that if we had a Fans Trust like say Swansea City that we'd all be more engaged and informed Like 'HarryBosch' I have tried to join our Trust without success see www.swanstrust.co.uk Their Statement regarding the Appointment of Paul Clement reads: The Swans Trust is pleased to confirm that we were fully consulted by other Shareholders in the appointment of Paul Clement as the man to replace Bob Bradley as Swans Boss
  11. Shez was magical for us last season but . . . He's just been sacked for taking Notts County on a Club Record 9 match defeated in every game run
  12. I wouldn't expect to hear anything from the Club regarding potential signings, only if we have confirmed signings Transfer Deadline Day of the 31st January seems a long way off Really Big Month for our Club and our Supporters Everyone knows we need to strengthen our Team and if we don't we will be lining up in League Two next Season Are we financially able to do so though ?
  13. This Transfer Window is going to be a very public reality check as it will tell us so much about where the Club really is regarding both our ambitions and financially Clearly with us sitting rock bottom of League One we need to improve the quality of the Team
  14. I think a meeting on either the 2nd or 14th should be held if only to measure our Supporters interest It should attract the genuinely concerned I for one will definitely be attending
  15. nonaenever Your post on the 26th November advises that you left a voice message for the Chairman but had not received a reply Has the Chairman made contact with you since to progress the 'questions to the Chairman' session ?
  16. I did something I've never done before at a Game I actually counted how many Southend players were on the pitch as it seemed there was always a player free to take a pass Just how bad is that
  17. Went to the game and came out glad of a point to which I didn't think we would get before kick off Main reason for going was to get a New Ground on the list which shows how bad things have got ! I did see a group of players who were clearly trying to get something from the game, and not just when we went down to 10, which I haven't witnessed much for most of the season so far Previous posts have stated Oxford were rubbish but I didn't see that at all. Oxford had pace and moved the ball fairly well on the ground, particularly from midfield into an attacking opportunity and if Connor Ripley wasn't playing we could easily have been on the end of 5 goal plus score-line We have a squad of players who were available with only a few weeks left before the start of the new season. Hopefully we will be able to bring in some more experienced players and move on a few of the current squad to hel
  18. Most concerning for me is; Our Club on TV in the FA Cup v a Non League Team and not only do we lose we lose badly I can slightly understand if some players do not want to wear our Shirt with the same pride as we would ourselves I can certainly understand why some players would be looking to move to another Football Club for financial security and better prospects But for the life of me, I don't understand for one second why when given the chance to produce their best on TV for themselves and open up new opportunities that they play as badly as they did Not even any self pride as individuals The best Coach in the World in any profession can't do anything with people like that
  19. as nonaenever has just posted, he will update us as discussions progress
  20. nonaenever Most Football Supporters can only dream of being part of running their Club, albeit for a relatively small investment (not saying £5,000 isn't an insignificant amount of money to most people but in football terms it isn't) As you have alluded to, the contributing supporters would appoint a number of fellow contributing supporters to the Board to be actively involved with the running of our Club Obviously very early days but what an opportunity if it can be brought to fruition
  21. Early days I know but what a great start What an offer, to allow our Supporters to buy a 75% interest in our Club Course we will need more details but you can put me down for £5,000
