  1. There really is no defending him now....although some still try. I have a ticket for tomorrow but really can't be arsed to make the effort to go....pretty poor I know. I really hope we can get 3 points just to lift the mood a bit.
  2. I always listen. Matt and co do always try and put a balanced view forward even though I don't always agree with what they say. Guests are also generally good fun and make some good points. Matt made the point again that we should remember to look back to where we came from last season, which I believe most fans do and I'd say 100% of the fan base would say we are a million miles ahead of where we were off the field. It's just debatable if we have moved forward at all on it. We did move forward 2H of last season, which I think is the big issue. Since then Unsworth has moved who he didn't want out and brought plenty of players in which I'm sure he endorsed, and we have categorically gone backwards in results, performance levels, and having any clear identity on the pitch. Will we get dragged into another relegation fight if Unsworth and things stay the same? I don't think so. We will end up between 10th and 14th ish I'd say. My view is we didn't need Norwood....although he's a quality addition. What we are spending on his contract could have been used to bring in 2 more quality midfield players at this level instead. Nuttall Fondop Reid and Kurt are a good strike force if they get the service. Lundstrom will help i'm sure however even with him and everyone fit i'm still not convinced our midfield is good enough. Gardiner is never fit, and both Ward and Lundstrom now have fitness questions over them. Sorry but it's not more time anymore we need. It's a better more experinced manager, a couple of quality midfielders with a bit of nouse, and a new injection of belief and enthusiasm in both the team and fanbase before our season is all but over by Christmas.
  3. Domenic Poleon the leading scorer to date in the National League so far for Ebsfleet with 7 goals....
  4. Simple answer is Yes we can or we end up losing far more in lost gate revenue.
  5. Yep - reference home attendances, Singe sent out somewhere recently that we have already lost over 1000 POTD home fans since the first game. To put this into context if you add additional in match revenues, food drink programs etc I'd estimate that's somewhere between £25/30k per game. If that stays flat and the shitshow continues it's over £500k this year....and it could be nearer £1m if we lose another 1000 pay on the dayers. What's Rhino on? £200k/year? Think I'd be paying him and Ebrell off asap and cutting my losses.
  6. Some fair points Dave but I can understand why many use the term "fraud". He clearly must have given Darren and co the impression before his appointment, that he had the coaching skillset and management ability to get the team to where they wanted. We've all probably given a bit of bullshit at interviews to try and get a job in the past....I have anyway! However from what I have seen over the past 12 months on the football field, which is ultimately where he will be judged, this seems like it was probably more than just a bit of bullshit.... as he really looks and sounds completely out of his depth. So did he "fraudulently" make claims that he could achieve something that he clearly can't? You get my point..... Anyway personally I just think he's a really crap manager, and the board need to admit they made a huge mistake with his appointment and try someone else with more experience.

  9. Yes but in his words we had to be brave because we're at home.....FFS. He is the gift that keeps on giving in his post match interviews.... Did anyone else see us keep carving them open? He just needs to fuck off.
  10. Great point this and a great example of his failings as a manager unfortunately
  11. So we go again.... No wins in out last 6 A paltry 7 pts from 8 league games Already 12 points behind Barnet and Chesterfield at the top Take out the Aldershot game and we've scored 4 goals in 7 games with 5 so called top NL strikers on £££££s Pay on the day pundits already 1000+ down ( so about £30k per game if you include food drinks etc I'd guess) Fans toxicity and frustration at home games growing by the week Most importantly no signs of improvement from the team He HAS to go before things get out of hand.
  12. It was a horrid watch. Basic footballing skill absent again for most of the game...in fact more passes to the invisible man than normal. What are the manager coaches doing to make such shite footballers out of what should be decent ones?? Something has to change as I'm embarrassed watching it at the moment.
  13. We are currently 12 points behind the mighty Barnet after 8 games FFS
  14. Come on NZ. This has been shit. Dorking are as poor a side as we will play in this league. We scored 8 against them last season. Can't blame the fans for getting a bit hot and bothered and having a go. It's dire enough watching online...must be worse there. Btw Dorking haven't picked up a point away from home this year. We need to find something last 10 mins FFS
  15. Our new manger bounce after Unsworths appointment was 1 league win at home to Yoevil in his first 12 league games, and 2 penalty shoot out wins against Chester and Peterborough Sports!!
  16. Not a bad shout but I hope he stays. Really like him as an impact player but not sure his ability to control his actions on the field sometimes and get himself sent off are going down too well with Big Dave....
  17. Some very valid and measured points here. It's pretty much were I am appart from being on the Unsworth out side of the camp, however as Glossop says string 3/4 wins together and see a group of players playing as a Team with belief and a more positive approach, and I'll happily let him carry on, until we get to a position where promotion looks impossible. I truly hope he succeeds, I think there is little chance though, and even if we do I expect it will be because we do actually have a group of players which should be on paper top 4 in this league and not because Unsworth is a tactical genius.
  18. Another BIG reason he needs to go is because I'm having a disaster in this season's predictions league, and until he starts to win more games, and gets the midfield to create more chances for Norwood....as he's my first scorer every week, I'm looking at another relegation. Unsworth Out!
  19. Yep real inspirational management and tactical genius will be needed as we take on the might and football powerhouses of Dorking, Oxford City, Kidderminster, York, Bromley and Wealdstone this month. Can't wait
  20. Erm thats the point! Nobody has said we have moved forward.....because we haven't!! We have in fact moved backwards if compared to the 2h of last season. Your happy to for him to continue underperforming week after week I guess? I'm perfectly happy with Frank's competency as a chairman and thank him for all he continues to do for a club I've followed round the land for 40 plus years. I'm not happy with Unsworths competency as a manager though, and never will be.
  21. This has turned into a how much we love Frank debate! We all do I think.... so let's get back to the issue in question shall we. The facts are we have spent plenty of money since our "top 3 form"of the 2nd half of last season, bringing in the players Unsworth wanted and getting shot of those he thought were not good enough. Granted one or two are injured but that's the same anywhere, and how anyone can think we have moved forward since the end of April is deluded. Look at any football based metric you like and the only one that has increased is that we have lost more football matches. Sentiment for Frank needs to be taken out of the discussion. Unsworth's doing a shit job end of and as soon as some on here smell the coffee the better. And by the way I'm totally against the boo boy dickheads slagging him and the team during the game but they are totally entitled to their opinion, right or wrong afterwards. He needs to go.
