Oh, I've got a plan. Sorry, Plan. Complete squad overhaul this summer. Consolidate next season then storm to the top the season after. Simple.

I've heard of mind games, but never mindless games. And I'm happy in mid table in the Championship; I can't afford promotion this season.

Clarke for me, although it could easily have been Lang or Nepomuceno.

The penultimate game of the season threw up some interesting scenarios. With Latics failing to score and Newport doing the unthinkable with free entry to season ticket holders' friends, increasing the gate by over a 1,000, the most anyone could score was 8 points. The maximum turned out to be 6, scored by @astottie, @lookersstandandy, @nzlatic and @SAV in the Premier League, @aidan_latics and @Benja in the Championship and @Brisbaneblue, @Dave_Og, @Kusunga_Is_God and @Nohairdontcare in League 1. In the top division, it's pretty much a Libpool/Citeh set up with just one point separating @Ex_pat and @lookersstandandy. The Northampton game will be very interesting, if only for watching all the last minute edits! It will take a huge effort to overtake those two. At the other end, @Hometownclub climbed out of the relegation places, dropping @rosa back in. It doesn't look good for @singe and @GravityGrave is already gone. @Benja is virtually assured of promotion from the Championship, but 2nd place is a race between @youngen, @Harry Bosch and @yarddog73. The last two play off places appear to be a straight fight between @aidan_latics, @LaticsPete and @BP1960, but you never can tell. The bottom three are already relegated but, if we have a 2nd Division next season, @GlossopLatic is practically down with @Stevie_J and @Handsy very much in trouble. It's almost certain that @south east latic is promoted from League1 at the first attempt, with @Dave_Og holding a 6 point advantage over @maddog in 2nd place. @al_bro is pretty much secure in the play offs with @mick26, @Nohairdontcare and @Latics and England fighting over 6th place, but don't rule out @maximus1267. With @oafcprozac already relegated, the final two places look to be between @Lee Sinnott, @Brisbaneblue and @Kusunga_Is_God, but the latter needs a big result and a slip up from the others. Neither thanks. They're as bad as each other, but in different ways if that makes sense. I wouldn't want either of them anywhere near our club. Unfortunately, one of them is.

It may well have been until it took the deflection. He looked very solid though apart from that and kept us in it with some excellent saves. Don't forget that this was only his 3rd (?) game. I'd be happy with him as No1 next season.

Newport 2-2 Latics (HT 1-1) - Afolayan - 3,316

I'm going. It's only 45 minutes up the road and I already had the tickets for the postponed game. Newport will be up for it, so I just want to see a decent performance.

Or Mick Priest. Or he didn't, and he did go running to AL. There's something that's true in the middle of all that lot.

And Burnley

No huge changes in any division. @GravityGrave's 8 points couldn't get him off the bottom of the Premier League, but @rosa climbed out of the relegation places, dropping @Hometownclub in. No one down to 14th moved at all. In the Championship, @Runningman's 11 points hauled him into comparative safety and @aidan_latics replaced @BP1960 in the last play off spot. League 1 saw @dannyboy55555 consolidate his mid table position with 7 points, @Latics and England replaces @Nohairdontcare in the last play off slot and @south east latic is all but certain of Championship football next season. It's all a bit rushed, so I hope there's no mistakes. I'm away now until Monday night so, if you spot anything wrong, please PM me and I'll rectify when I get back. Tough at the top, ain't it flower? Not that I'd know much about that, given this season's performance.

I think that may have been the point where my laptop froze. By the time I got it sorted out, it looks as though I'd mixed it up on the spreadsheet. Thankfully, it makes no difference to the tables. Pride comes before a fall.

Normally I would be there, but I can't make it this time as we're going away for a couple of days. I'm going to try to get the tables done straight after the game, but might not manage it. I'll be back just in time to go to Newport. I had a laptop problem in the middle of doing the tables and I now have a funny feeling there could be other errors as well. I think @rudemedic's scorer prediction is wrong too. I'll check them out this morning. Sorry folks.

Probably the lowest ever points total overall in the history of the competition. Two points was the best anyone could manage in the Premier League, namely @astottie and @SAV. Only two players, @oafcmetty and @JoeP, moved at all, simply swapping places. In the Championship, @Bristolatic, @Harry Bosch and @Runningman managed 4 points each, the latter being the only one to gain an advantage by moving out of the danger zone. @LaticsPete did himself no favours by failing to predict a complete full time score, so only some of his prediction counted. No one in League 1 moved at all, not even @al_bro, who top scored with 5 points. Completely bizarre all round. Can everyone try a bit harder please for the Exeter game? Aye thang yow.
