  1. I'm not sure that I shouldn't take offence to that remark! (He says removing his pet aardvark from his head)
  2. Got mine. Does anyone know if the club intend giving updates on the number sold? It's just possible that some people may buy one if they know that they are getting £70 back, but not bother otherwise. A running total, especially if we're getting close to the magic number, may help push them into buying. Please no negative responses such as "whats the point we'll never sell that many". Let's keep upbeat
  3. I've got one very similar to that with JD Sports on the front. According to Museum De Latique it's the 92/93 home shirt. Although a bit tight I think it's the outfit for Saturday!
  4. I've just found my promoted to Division 1 1991 scarf, and my littlewoods cup final flat cap. It's a bit tatty, but I'm sure an airing will do it good
  5. Best descision you could have made. Hopefully it will work out and we'll be back in the hunt for promotion. But even if it doesn't at least we all know (as if we didn't already) that you have the best interests of the club and fans at heart. Thanks and KTF
  6. The fishul site also names the Hartlepool squad! Has the fixture been changed and noone has told us?
  7. Please do, and if he ever wants to come up to a match we usually have a spare seat
  8. Marina's called Burton Waters. I guess it wasn't him then, which means that there is yet anther Latics fan in Lincoln. LOAF (Lincolnshire Oldham Athletic Fans) will be bigger than OASIS before long!
  9. I live 10 miles outside Lincoln, and my nearest known Latics Neighbour lives about 10 miles away in North Hykehem. I also know of another Latics fan in Lincoln. Kieran where does your dad live in Lincoln? My mate was talking to someone at Asda a few weeks ago who is a Latics fan, has a car with Latics stickers on, and says he goes to games. Maybe it was him?
  10. To me the worst thing about the whole incident is that due to the ref/lino's incompetence we were possibly deprived of 2 more points, and we loose a player for the next couple of games who should not be suspended.
  11. Valentine's day just happens to be my twin nephews 18th birthday. So after treating them to their first legal beers it'll be off to Latics before a curry in the evening. My good lady will be included for the curry though!
  12. Heading for our worst result sice the Cardiff 7-1!
  13. From LW sounds like they are first to everything, our midfield is not in the game
  14. I've got it no problem, not that it's good to listen to!!
  15. Just said on LW that Preston did not give permission for Ormerod to play
  16. Went in there 3 or 4 Saturdays ago at about 9pm. We were the only people in there. Hope its a bit better now. I'm with Latics Andy, can't beat the rifle range before a match.
  17. If you can get up to Lincoln (plenty of trains from Grantham) we go to most home games and will usually have a spare seat. If you're intersted PM me and I'll give you my phone number
  18. I used to live in Berlin 83-86 and went back there on holiday 2005. One place we also used to go was a novelty bar in Charlottenburg called Klo's (think that's the right spelling). I think Klo is german slang for toilet, and everything in there is toilet based. Drinks come in Pottys or specimin jars. Some of the tables move like there is an earthquake while your sat at them. Place is usually packed, so you have to get in early. Hope that helps, and hope its still open. There are alos a lot of gentlemans clubs near Charlottenburg railway station, if that's your bag. KtF
  19. I'm neither born nor schooled in Oldham, but moved to Grasscroft in 1973, where we lived in to the 80's. Latics were the first team I ever watched regularly, and with the likes of Alan Groves, Maurice Whittle and co in the team who could help but follow them. The rest is history. The post above reminds me of my brother and I catching the 180 into town for matches, and being given abuse by the city/utd clowns already on the bus. It always amazed me that these people could travel through Oldham, but then go on to Manchester to watch their football. Mind you, more recentley I met my bro in the Cambridge in Werneth before a latics game, and got the same abuse from the "oldhamers" in there watching the Manc derby. Some things never change.
  20. I reckon that next season it'll cost me about an extra fiver in petrol for each home game (230 mile round trip). Although it won't stop me going it's just one more thing to add to the ever shrinking pound in my pocket!
  21. Noticed that. I had wondered if Dave was his son, as it's not the most common name in the world. (I beleive Wong is, but am standing by to be corrected).
  22. Can anyone explain the rules on this club v country issue. Do we have to let him go for a meaningleess friendly, or do we have some say in the matter. If it is the second why on earth are we releasing him?

    Skype

I use it all the time with people in Australia and the US. The quality is not always great, but what do you expect for free. One tip - don't use the webcam unless you need to (no questions asked!), it seems to use up the available bandwidth and make the voice quality worse.
  24. Is there a limit to the number of loanees you can have playing at a time? Livermore, Robertson, Jarrett and now Constantine. At this rate we won't be playing any of our own players.
