  1. I wonder if he's going to start spending some this bigger budget? I don't know, maybe a player or two... Just a thought
  2. Well, looking at that I'm positively underwhelmed and a tad worried if he is being considered
  3. "melodramatic" , give over. Half the posters on here have absolutely slated the current chairman almost since day one accusing him of alsorts of malpractice towards staff. I have no problem with a fan led group if that produced results
  4. A group of responsible fans every time, the group part hopefully adding a more democratic element to daily business rather than the alleged dictatorship which seems to be in place at the moment.
  5. Any mention of squad strengthening? Not listened to it but would like to think it's been mentioned at some point...
  6. Would be good to know when we are bringing some new bloody players and a manager in. Sick of hearing about this vague plan. It's always a good idea to have a squad and manager embedded in the club well before the season starts.
  7. No sign of white smoke rising from boundary park just yet, best news yet on the player front is Nepo staying. That leaves a manager and about five or six more signings to go? Two months ish til the new season begins to build a cohesive squad and settle a manager in (probably will be in that order too) Time ticking on already
  8. Yes true, the longer AL leaves it the more likely the new man will actually be here for the start of the season
  9. I think I'm his own way AL has already been attempting some of what he talks about in his latest statement. It just hasn't worked BY and large. Getting any player in is always a risk but with players from the English league at least you can gauge to some extent what you are going to get. Foreigners are a bigger risk because there are so many different styles of play abroad and not all can adapt to the physical and often faster English game. Fitness levels too, i mean look at Vera. If he was fit i will eat my hat!
  10. When you look at who has gone, particularly the players mentioned above, the rebuild needed looks all the more daunting. Signing players, getting a manager who then has to turn them into a cohesive unit, players who won't have been his choice in the first place. We aren't leaving league two anytime soon, not from the right end anyway.
  11. I don't know much about them and theres the transition to make to the fourth tier of league two
  12. Out of all the candidates or potential candidates Evans would be favourable purely because he does deliver, despite his abrasiveness. Brown possibly, wouldn't be overjoyed but might be the kind of manager needed to get us out of this league. Campbell, not sure, did a job at Macc but only just. Coyle, no Clarke,no Foreigners, who knows.
  13. Bryan robson just seen coming out of oldham a & e . Shoulder put back in again. Walking down sheepfoot lane.
  14. Clarence Seedorf will be spotted around BP again soon. Its painful all this speculation .
  15. According to some rumours of what some players were apparently payed last season, the budget then cant have been too shabby. Hope the additional "100%" is spent wisely next season
  16. And i will be sat there on a Tuesday night in November thinking, what am I doing here, for millionth time in my life
  17. This will rumble on til July, followed by a swift sacking or resignation mid august.
  18. That win ratio needs to improve dramatically if he is to do a job for us. The idea and aim is to get us promoted surely and we want someone can carry that through before we become the league two mid table specialists every season.
  19. It would appear from reading that article, the circus of last season hasn't put off prospective applicants
  20. Is Sol actually on his way here? not literally now but is someone in the know about his appointment?
  21. A good point, we should hope it's close to the beginning of the season or the new guy might be gone before it starts
  22. I would always consider Steve Evans an option, despite his panto villain reputation. In terms of reputation hes better than anyone we've had for years. Working for our chairman though? nah
