Diego_Sideburns Posted February 18, 2011 Author Share Posted February 18, 2011 Paddy Considine has won the World Cinema Directing Award, at the world-renown Sundance Film Festival in Utah, for his feature film directorial debut Tyrannosaur. He also wrote the film, which tells the story of a man plagued by self-destructive violence and rage, who seeks a chance of redemption in the form of a Christian charity shop worker with a devastating secret of her own. It’s due to be released in the autumn. Paddy previously picked up a BAFTA for his short film directorial debut ‘Dog Altogether’ in 2008, and he presented a couple of awards at the recent BAFTA Awards ceremony. I think it's Shane Meadows who has the rights. Don't know the current position, but this is a short film which Shane made with Bartley Gorman in 1995. In fact it's hard to say that Considine deserves a thread of his own, compared with modern greats like David Morrisey, Michael Sheen, Eddie Marsan, Gary Oldman, Jason Isaacs, Kathy Burke...
