Ackey Posted March 17, 2009 Posted March 17, 2009 Talking about the PRS and the daylight robbery they want to perform for us to be able to play music at BP. Beat me to it. You can listen online here
LaticsChris Posted March 17, 2009 Posted March 17, 2009 Talking about the music licencing with hawksby and jacobs...
lalalajpkalala Posted March 17, 2009 Posted March 17, 2009 about performing rights charges. The exposure just never ends.
NIKI1234 Posted March 17, 2009 Posted March 17, 2009 Talking about the music licencing with hawksby and jacobs... Whilst I agree with the stance of TTA on this why are we the only club that seem to have this issue... Have all other clubs just accepted they have to pay?
longtimeblue Posted March 17, 2009 Posted March 17, 2009 Whilst I agree with the stance of TTA on this why are we the only club that seem to have this issue... Have all other clubs just accepted they have to pay? Yes they will have to pay, Unsure how many of the clubs are requesting home made fan music though
CD's Orange Heels Posted March 17, 2009 Posted March 17, 2009 Yes they will have to pay, Unsure how many of the clubs are requesting home made fan music though The whole thing is ridiculous. I know somebody who works in a childrens nursery. The nursery owner has been sent a letter saying if they play nursery rhyme CD's they will have to pay PRS as it is deemed to be a live performance. The world has gone mad.
al_bro Posted March 17, 2009 Posted March 17, 2009 Whilst I agree with the stance of TTA on this why are we the only club that seem to have this issue... Have all other clubs just accepted they have to pay? Youtube aren't too impressed with PRS either. They've blocked all the music videos, because of the extortionate increase in charges.
Tommy_Fent Posted March 17, 2009 Posted March 17, 2009 So this is the reason why we hear the same old crap played in most grounds across the country i.e Tom Hark, Pig-Bag, Chelsea Dagger etc
longtimeblue Posted March 17, 2009 Posted March 17, 2009 So this is the reason why we hear the same old crap played in most grounds across the country i.e Tom Hark, Pig-Bag, Chelsea Dagger etc The increases will apply to those tunes aswell, just some clubs have no imagination
ghostofcecere Posted March 17, 2009 Posted March 17, 2009 about performing rights charges. The exposure just never ends. Never mind listening to the radio get some studying done you tax dodger!
ritchie82 Posted March 17, 2009 Posted March 17, 2009 Can't the inspiral carpets or twisted wheel give us a few tunes?
Ackey Posted March 17, 2009 Posted March 17, 2009 Can't the inspiral carpets or twisted wheel give us a few tunes? They probably don't 'own' their own music to do that.
longtimeblue Posted March 17, 2009 Posted March 17, 2009 Can't the inspiral carpets or twisted wheel give us a few tunes? Worth givin them a bell
garcon Posted March 17, 2009 Posted March 17, 2009 Worth givin them a bell I can't see them knocking up anything decent with just a bell...

Bertie_Dugger Posted March 17, 2009 Posted March 17, 2009 Maybe we should charge the drummer a fee........................and then he might just pack it in.
jimsleftfoot Posted March 18, 2009 Posted March 18, 2009 eh? Presumbably the drummer at Latics rather than your band.
longtimeblue Posted March 18, 2009 Posted March 18, 2009 Presumbably the drummer at Latics rather than your band. might be the same guy
