singe
Just noticed another thread about the Ipswich job. Interesting who the poll favoured, as it looks remarkably similar! But who is realistically going to apply for the Ipswich job then the Oldham job! 1: Adie Boothroyd 2: Neil Warnock 3: Paul Ince 4: Alan Curbishley 5: Gus Poyet 6: Alan Pardew 7: Glen Hoddle
singe
Vanished from the site. Suggests they are maing changes to the market or have seen significant movements in the betting that suggests and appointment is iminent! Or they're reading this site and adding Ronnie Jepson. I was just reaing the Ronnie Jepson site after that post. Good grief, he really has not done a lot has he! Suppose that is the danger of someone unknown in managment

Bring Back Ronnie Moore
Boothroyd would be a brilliant appointment. Failing that Sir Jimmy Floyd of Hasselbaink, just for the laughs. dfOAFC
Dave Penney, Paul Jewell, Paul Ince, Mickey Adams and Colin Calderwood. agreed. the last thing we want is a manager who's got teams promoted in the past.
Senor_Coconut
I couldn't help but feel a little disappointed if one of Adams, Penny or Jepson got the job.
dfOAFC
Mickey Adams - how anyone can say they'd be happy with Adams is beyond me. Took a Brighton side with some talented players and turned them into mush. Took Fulham up. Took Brighton up twice.
dfOAFC
I couldn't help but feel a little disappointed if one of Adams, Penny or Jepson got the job. was there any need for "if one of Adams, Penny or Jepson got the job." in that statement? oldhamathleticmad
a manager who's taken Stockport to the heady heights of 13th with a similar budget to the one we'll probably have next season? can't wait. The same Jim Gannon who took Stockport from 24th in league two to 8th in league one in just over two seasons. The only reason they are 13th now is because they're on the verge of administration and the players have lost motivation. Yeah clearly dreading his appointment!! Zorrro
Took Fulham up. Took Brighton up twice. Spending lots of money in the process. Same with Calderwood. And Penney. And Jewell. And Ince. Can you see what I'm getting at? Gannon's done a remarkable job at Stockport given the resources and huge internal problems at the club. Didn't Adams take Fulham up before al-Fayed took over then got :censored: on for Keegan to take over? Don't remember him having megamoney at Brighton either - wasn't it when Zamora was there? peanuts
gonna throw one in how about niel macdonald now with fat sam at blackburn seem to remmeber him doing agood job at carlisle on a limited budget might be a good outside bet ?

Ince spent at MK, plus he won't drop to League One. Jewell spent £1.3m on Isiah Rankin. Nuff said. Adams certainly spent at Brighton - Zamora cost them a few bob. I know a couple of Brighton fans, and they'd laugh themselves into the ground if we appointed Adams. He's gone from decent managerial prospect to bumbling idiot with alarming alacrity. Bring Back Ronnie Moore
It better not be someone like Jepson, Ritchie, Penney or Adams. Gannon really is the best option, seems like he's got an eye for non league talent as well. No need to mess around, get him in, it's local for him, more job security than Stockport, better prospects for next season that Stockport, a bigger budget than Stockport. wakefield-oldham
I think we can rule a few out straight away. If we go for what we need. Some experience Our League experience Got a team out of a division Instant Impact Good contacts Not been out of work too long Not expensive Has worked with a small ish budget Would be respected by current players Would motivate the youngsters Anything else to add? we just let one of them slip through our fingers
