Prendy_1984
From Blackburn. Their web site says he's a midfielder
Prendy_1984
Has also impressed at centre half apparently
RoytonBlueLad
Signed a successful trial with the club in 2007/08, Alex has proved to be a versatile addition to the Rovers squad. Initially joined as a midfielder, but has also impressed at centre half and right back for the Reserves this term. Signed a new deal with Rovers to keep him at the club until the summer of 2011. razza699
Right back who can play midfield...... Least we will have a strong reserve side.
singe
This flexibility seems to be a theme. A fluid 1-8-1/8-1-1 diamond/triangle formation I predict.
leeslover
Midfielder is he a Swede? He looks like he should be in school! Hope he sticks to the squash on social events.
oafcprozac
Here Certainly a Penney type of player, ie one who can play in a number of positions. Hopefully he'll be a good 'un and do well until the ctocks get fit! Welcome to BP Alex, great surname! If he's tenacious in the tackle can we nickname him ':censored:-Bone'!!! oliver
I reckon only an emergency signing as DP stated earlier in the week to cover for Worthy.
razza699
I think we are going to play all down each flank with all the wing backs in a line
singe
I reckon only an emergency signing as DP stated earlier in the week to cover for Worthy. Alec1954
I saw Rowney play a couple of time pre-season and he looked terrific. Why bring in other team's stiffs when we have our own?

As good as Rowney has looked Alec, this new boy can cover a number of positions so good move imo. Let young Chris continue to develop in the ressies, he won't have had loads of footie last season would he?

TheBigDog
let the guy manage ffs!! he knows what he is doing, unlike our last incumbant. Agree but just how many midfielders do we need? Furman, Purdie, Worthington, Stephens, Lee, Whittaker etc etc
singe
Agree but just how many midfielders do we need? Furman, Purdie, Worthington, Stephens, Lee, Whittaker etc etc Yes but Worthington and Purdie are likely to be injured (as are Eardley & Jacobson), he's only here for a month as cover for one of 3 people! Killens_physio
Yep, I get the impression this will be day which will knacker the old F5 key! Hopefully it will be one of those players who play in a pairing, just in front of the keeper and just inside the two full backs.......what do they call them again? jonnyl@tic
Ackey turned Gamekeeper...lol. I expect a better class of signing now Ackey in control. Gavin Gunning big strong centre half just signed for Tranny from Blackburn
creepy
Looks like Worthington is struggling then, thats the only reason he has signed
