Blue_Guru
I dont think anyones dumb enough to be saying Penney out...but i'm sure people will be asking major questions as to why a strong team couldnt dispose accrington stanley at home....a team thats the 2nd lowest team in all leagues at the moment. razza699
Surely a CB is a priority now in the Loan window Hazell and Gregan are leaving that pitch knowing they will start on Saturday night , there lies our problem.

BJBlue
Shame, i was looking forward to a decent cup run this year and thats the only one we'd have any chance of doing well in. Well onwards and upwards, keep grinding out draws and the odd win and close in on that mid table finish

Maybe, if we managed to get the same team out for consecutive matches, you know...barring injuries and new signings etc. The only consistency has been in the centre of defence and look where that's got us! You never know, we may even get a run going that allows the team to actually gel together, eventually. So, it was Gregan's turn to drop the bollock tonight. Big surprise! Guest sheridans_world
Glad I rushed to Boundary Park and missed Whitaker's goal to see us lose 2-1.

Open your eyes...yes we have injuries, yes they haven't played together long...excuse...excuse...excuse...but that team should have beaten accrington stanley comfortably....end of story
bensonio
Did Gregan shout an blame anyone for his own goal? Brill? Sheehan? I didn't go, seems a tenner well saved.

Hometownclub
I see this thread is full of poeple calling the shots again and didn't even go to the game, unfortunately that totally sums up an awful lot of Latics fans. How can you make a judgement on a player and an own goal without even knowing the circumstances under which it was conceded.
Hometownclub
It never even remotely looked like being 5-0. Second half we were out battled and out played, Accrington fully deserved to win the match.
