jsslatic
This is not an attack on the goalie, just a question to those that have seen him play more than I have. Is he any better than Brill? 7 goals in 3 games isn't the best record, though having seen the Leeds game on the stream he wasn't to blame for either. How have his all round performances been vs Col U and Walsall? Little seems to have been said on the subject. The quietness about it seems odd bearing in mind had Brill been in goal for goals 1 and 3 last night (having watched the highlights) he'd have been the cyber version of hung, drawn and quartered on here IMO. Are people realising that Brill wasn't as bad as people made him out to be, or have Flahavan's performances been good enough to prevent him from a barrage of criticism? Like I said, genuine question. garcon
I think it shows that at least a proportion of the criticism of Brill was unfair. However we were right to bring someone else in, and from what I've seen (only the Colchester game to be fair) he looks more solid, more confident and more willing to use his area. He was unlucky with Colchester's first and coujld do nothing about their second.

longtimeblue
In all honesty Out of the last 3 games I was only at the Leeds game, To me He seemed a far better keeper. More composed and alot more comfortable dealing with the basics. I have seen the goals from each game and there has be no calamities - Brill cost us far too many goals and a direct result of his inadaquacies. The stick he got was OTT but in my opinion he had too many chances and didn't deliver. The Hudds free-kick was Penney's final straw but there were mistakes worse than that throughout the first part of the season.
wozz_oafc
Just wait until he can be 100% blamed for something then he will get it just as bad!

garcon
Nah, the boo boys only have one boo boy a season. More than that confuses them.

shefflatic
none of the goals conceded have been keeper errors, unlike half of the goals going past brill during his stint. Flahavan = the better keeper, id have him as my number one with fleming as no2 and give brill his p45, he is so poor it isnlt even funny. I dont wish the lad bad, id like him to be up to it and be a success with us as he is relatively young, but his complete lack of competency at his age is why he is such a poor keeper. flytrap
Flahavan is a big improvement on Brill.
Blue_Pizza
I don't mind Brill, but despite more goals being conceded of late Flahavan has looked a much better keeper. Claimed numerous balls in the first half against Walsall, and made a decent save, and that save at Gillingham was top class.
LaticNik
I didn't criticise Brill and i think Flahavan is no better than him. Cheers Diego! Not seen Flahavan yet, was "looking forward" to watching us against Leeds without a minus 2 goal handicap. But now... E4e OHECK
nava
He is definitly a better keeper. He has made some very good saves and I can't think of any obvious errors. Brill isn't as bad as people make out but there were definate weaknesess in his game. Hopefully time out of the 1st team will give him the chance to look at these but i'm still hoping Flahavan's loan will be extended.
rictic
I didn't criticise Brill and i think Flahavan is no better than him. I didn't criticise Brill either but I do think a sack of Maris Piper would be better than him.
Hometownclub
Flahaven is a better and far more assured keeper than Brill. A least every team that plays us isn't treating every free kick within 40 yards of goal as a penalty. I first had my doubts about Brill when every team we played appeared to have Roberto Carlos playing for them.

EASTLEY
Flahavan is a quality keeper at this level. We would do well to keep him, IMO he is stronger than both Fleming and Brill in all aspects Hopefully we will get to keep him for the season, one of DPs better signings
laticsfanatic100
he's got a proven record at this level and his kicking looks solid especially with our tendnecy to pass back constantly, he is on the small side but look at gary kelly!! tangerinedreams
I think Brill's category of errors brings most of the criticism, positioning of the wall, himself, his confidence overall, I'm hoping that a second choice keeper will bring the best out of both keepers and keep competition between the two of them quite cut throat really, I suppose you could say that Brills inexperience has shown through a touch, not taking in to account the wind and the trajectory of the ball, not sure how I would deal with the ball they use today and the amount of swerve that free kick specialists can put into it, they know it is coming so expect the unexpected I suppose. I dont know mate, Have you ever known a keeper to be so unassured and at fault for so many errors in such a short space of time, I can't remeber a keeper at BP who filled me with so litlle confidence
