To all fellow Latics travelling supporters yesterday

Recommended Posts

Think we should all give ourselves a very large pat on the back - which other set of supporters are going to watch such utter half hearted rubbish by a bunch of so-called professionals who could not be bothered, yet we were all able to sing and create an atmosphere like that. The ticket business yesterday also left a lot to be desired, as a lot seemed to have bought tickets together but were given seats in different rows. Also, the chaos in trying to get everyone seated was a disgrace - reminded me of Brentford a couple of seasons away.

If we were in the league table of supporters, we would be top of the Premiership. IMO the Oldham outfit as a whole (manager, owners and players) leave a lot to be desired. Why are we all putting the effort in - was a trek from Leicester yesterday, with woman flu, never mind how many had to travel all the way from Oldham. What a shame the players could not put in the effort we did. "Lets pretend we scored a goal" - brilliant - thats why I am proud of being a supporter. Just not sure when I can be bothered to go again yet - might wait to see them put a bit more effort in - but we will see ...

Just got back. Knackered!

The match was the only disappointing part of the weekend (apart from the half time pie that was superb).

I was disgusted that the players (apart from a couple) didnt come over and clap the fans.

What a nice place Norwich is compared to our dump of a town.

Sounds like a great day out in Norwich from reading the many accounts on here.

But let's not get carried away. If we were in a league table of supporters we would be struggling in the fourth division. Our support is :censored::censored:.

Some heart warming priase here for our fans from our Norwich counterparts;

One of them said we were the best set of fans the had seen in years. I guess it's easy to give praise when your team wins every week but still it's nice to be appreciated.

after the game, our group were walking about looking for the cittee game on the box in a pub..we asked a norwich fan in his 50's and escorted all of us to his local..great beer and great hospitality.

couldn't have met a friendlier bunch and great to see a largish club with fans with no chips on their shoulders...down to earth and easy going.

one even tried to convince us we could have snatched a draw ! (i wasn't that piS$ed!!!)

Great weekend and performance from latics fans. If the players players were half as good as us we would be in the play off places at least.

It was great to see Carrow Road a true football club. Norwich don't have competition from the Priemership clubs in the same way as us so maybe it is easier for them. The last time I went past Carrow Road it was surrounded by terraced houses. The council have obviously regenerated the area as Oldham Council could have done around Boundary Park. At the end of the day Oldham Council are an albotross around the neck of Oldham Athletic and almost every resident of this town.

Believe you got in a bit of trouble for having a moan yesterday Lee?

Yep, all the miles covered, all the money spent and all the times I've been disappointed and I'm not allowed to moan when our "creative midfielder" can't find a blue shirt. All by someone who I'm sure I wont be seeing at Wycombe.

A catalogue of disasters to be honest, but it all fit together at Victoria - when we needed it the most....

a few of my mates are on the same flight

£3.20 a pint aswell isnt it - ouch

It didn't matter what the price was at this stage, it was just a case of taking the edge off the 3 hours!

He was right though, there's no passion there. At least with the likes of Garnett, Daz Shez, Dudley, Carss, Matty Tipton, Dougie Hodgson and whathaveyou, they played with a bit a heart. Darren Sheridan and Matty Tipton would run through a brick wall for the jersey.

Exactly.
