Let it all wash off you now, its a clean slate today just like that clean shirt you are going to put on. Its a shirt with a history and today we know you are going to give it your all. You are the boys in blue, pull that shirt on fight for the right to wear it, play like you on fire, tackle like there's no tomorrow, shoot like its your God given right to score and then you can walk off that pitch at the end of 90mins knowing you have given you all and been in the fight of your life - that's right the fight of you life. Shoot on sight, don't sit back WHEN we go one up, get it out wide, keep pumping crosses in, don't get downhearted if it doesn't always come off; just keep trying. All out effort, gutsy performance and determination will shut the boo boys up. You don't want League 2 football any more than we do. Keep trying - it WILL pay off. The spirit in the last half hour against Colchester saw some magnificent flowing football. Defensively, we're pretty damned good. Stay firm. Do what you do. You do it better than most in this league. We have pace, skill and genuine threat out wide - you have the true ability to scare any defence in this division. And when you've scared them punish them with the killer pass/cross/shot. We have players in the middle who can get forward and threaten the opposition goal, as witnessed against Orient. And you have delivery from a set piece that is better than it has been for a couple of years. Well worth taking a risk to get on the end of one of those. Up front we have a striker who is talented enough to grace any team in this league and who, given the right supporting runs from deep, is creative enough to bring others in to the game and on to the scoresheet. So let him bring you in to the game. Be there when he does. Get out there. Be competitive in the tackle and express yourselves on the pitch and play the game the way you know the game should be played. Keep it on the floor. Want the ball, get the ball and use the ball. Support each other, cover for each other and play for each other. It will come good and you will be at the centre of it. Enjoy playing the game. Enjoy the fight and spirit of battle too.
