PhilStarbucksSilkySkills
Seriously!!! Shouldn't one of the key skills required to be a member of the BBC commentary team be that you can actually speak recognisable English?

Matt
Props to him. He seems to have a better grasp of the English language than some of the pricks on here.

leeslover
They gave Schmeichel a two year deal, and even sent him on an expensive course to try and teach him how to talk, before giving him all the money not to come back. Gotta love that licence fee.
OldhamSheridan
Gotta love that licence fee. Don't get me started on that lark. I already just passed out and headbutted the keyboard due to not taking a breath when shouting at the screen.

rudemedic
The BBC have chosen Adebayor because with the possible exception of one or two of the injured players (Essien) he IS the biggest player from Africa not at this world cup he gives a bit of a different perspective. Seedorf on ITV was much worse. His English is perfectly recogniseable to me (but then again I lived in Africa for 2 months). If you don't like what he has to say (or can't understand him) go do something else when he's on (after all its not like he's commentating), or turn the sound down. PhilStarbucksSilkySkills
If they can time it so that Lineker asks Adebayor all his questions at once, so that he can get his syllable soup over and done with in one neat soundbite I might have time to make a brew. Crusoe
I'll take Adebayor's incomprehensibility over Hansen's disinterest or Green's jingoistic warblings any day.
outoftheblue
Lineker: "Steven Gerrard has said all the team are behind Rob Green after the USA match. Not the safest place to stand under the circumstances" Cheeky!
