stevesidg
great That's why he wanted to play from the start then? Though I thought he did well against Brentford, held the ball up well, you never know what he could do with a run of 3 or 4 games.

He will join the NI squad (if fit) on Sunday Feb 6th and come back after the match on weds Feb 9th. As far as I'm aware we don't have a match in that period so he doesn't miss any for us.... As far as I'm aware we don't have a match in that period so he doesn't miss any for us.... you're missing the point - he has gone off with NI all season, notably during the first 2 months of the season. Now I am not saying he shouln't play for his country, but in his case for someone who was at Cardiff and hasnt played any form of proper football for 18 months or so, almost 30 yrs old, you would have thought he would have had a chat with Worthington and said 'look, i really need to have a consistent spell of football and get back into the swing of things and find form. Leave me out of the sqaud til the new year and see where I am at then'. But no, he goes off and plays, gets injured and then wonders why he isnt getting a look-in. To be frank though, when he has played he has looked nothing more than average and honestly, i don't see him bringing anything other to the team apart from backing into defenders and waiting for the ref to blow for a foul. His movement is so one-paced and sluggish he is always half a yard behind the speed of the game and slows the tempo of the game down. He won't bag more than 5 goals this year if he's lucky. Shut the door on the way out Warren and don't forget to take that green shirt that you show 100% aliegance and effort to with you.

Roger Ritchie
To be fair to him playing for his country is probably more important than playing for Oldham. Any truth in the rumours that NI FA pay his wages for the games he misses?
