Fan up the ladder
Phew! That's good news. Given the lightness of the squad, even if Reid and Smith start tomorrow, this should give us a very useful option from the bench.

opinions4u
Smith's aerial threat should create loads of opportunities for fast players to run on to.

Midsblue
Looks happy to be here.....or it's just a look of determination I may be old but why don't players smile when they sign for a new club? Financial security, the feeling of being wanted, the knowledge that the fans won't be on his back after the first shot over the crossbar/misplaced pass.... TheBigDog
Like Razza keeps saying, think we may see Parker on the right tomorrow, pace to burn. Team picks itself? razza699
Dickov believes Parker, who has had two recent trial periods at Boundary Park, has all the qualities to go to the top. He said: "Josh has impressed us during training pre-season and he has all the basic attributes to become a top striker. "He has raw pace which no defender likes. He is a good finisher and physically and technically he is very good. "The great thing with Josh is that there is great potential and there is a lot to work with. "He has a fantastic attitude and wants to learn. He just needs to be coached and to be given a chance."
Simpo
just like our new keeper will be as well lol Cisak has said he will stay with Latics rather than go all over the globe to sit on the Australia bench. slystallone
Cisak has said he will stay with Latics rather than go all over the glove to sit on the Australia bench. Beat me too it Simpo - Cisak has made himself available for us not Aus (exactly what Feeney should have done IMO) On topic - Welcome to BP Josh. You join Dickov's (very) young warriors - Here's hoping you fulfill your potential with us and get us a few goals. I'm excited to see him bloom with us; as he does offer something that we havent had in while; namely raw pace. Hopefully fans will give him time to settle and develop; just as we need to do with Matt Smith too.

slystallone
is he in the andrews bracket for pace??? or more of a byefield? From 1 run he made at Mossley; more Usain Bolt actually....
pcassist
is he in the andrews bracket for pace??? or more of a byefield? Andrews, but this lad doesn't need glasses. He can hit a barn door with the ball unlike Andrews and he doesn't go diving everywhere, just scares defenders to death. Ian G.
