Jsweeting24
IMO, it is a winnable game against a team not in great form, with fans who get on their team's back whenever they dont look like performing. I live in Nottingham, and have been to the odd Forest game this season, including the 0-0 draw against Blackburn. If they play like they did that day, and we play like we did yesterday, we will do them over. Plus, any team that loses to Ipswich doesnt deserve a good cup run! joncurtis199
Plus Nottingham is an awesome day out. Never got the chance to go to the City Ground when they were in our league so will make sure I get this one off at last.
Jsweeting24
Its a nice ground, nice city too. Not too far from Oldham either. Just been on their forum and they seem to think it being a tough game against us.
LaticsPete
And yesterday at this time we'd all have taken it happily !! It's winnable, not to far way and we should have a good following.
Zorrro
I bloody well hope we do win, two of my colleagues are Forest fans and I'll never hear the end of it if they turn us over.

JonesyOAFC
We've not done too badly against Forest in recent years have we? Good city, cracking ground. Could've been a lot worse.
Jsweeting24
What's the average attendance at forrest? Just thinking of gate money! 18,000-20,000, more for Derby/Leicester etc. I reckon they'll be 18,000 for us, and about £20 to get in. I remember drawing 0-0 at their place on a cold tuesday night, and then beating them 5-0 on Boxing day at ours, back when Calderwood was their manager. rudemedic
Yeah 90-100k. Thats not bad, could've been a lot worse (MK Dons/Trannies away come to mind). That's if they get an average gate. We had about a thousand off our average gate yesterday. Sheffield United only had about 6,500 home fans yesterday when they get about 17,000 normally. Plus I think gate receipts is after stuff like police and stewarding costs.

oafcmetty
Which means Latics have entered the competition 97 times, because every club only loses one F.A. Cup tie each season, whether it's in the first preliminary round or the Final, unless they win the trophy. Interesting read here! http://www.twohundre...ent.net/?p=2763 To compensate for this, the FA expanded The FA Cup, making all ties apart from the semi-finals and the final itself two-legged matches. Although as it happened, we played 2 two-legged ties - winning both matches in the first one, winning one, losing one in the second - so your 97 figure may still be correct! Wonder if the 'ties' is really counting ties, not matches? Edited December 2, 2012 by oafcmetty
