Latic76
= depressing How on Earth does the manager keep his job with stats like that? Answer: Not enough cash to sack and replace...........

I don't think that is the reason. More likely he works bloody hard, is totally committed and wants to succeed. Great attributes. But not enough. rudemedic
= depressing How on Earth does the manager keep his job with stats like that? Answer: Not enough cash to sack and replace........... More likely that calendar year statistics can give false pictures. In the calendar year we finished 16th, one season, and are currently 17th. Our 2012 form probably puts us 20th at best. We do probably have enough cash to sack him and replace him but personally I'd rather see us spend the money to keep Baxter and get another striker in. Getting shot of Dickov (+Taggart + Butler) might well mean we struggle to get a new striker in as well as keeping Baxter.

steveoafc
Those are pretty damning stats and PD could have no complaints if he was sacked tomorrow! Our home results in particular are abysmal, and will be increasing attendances no time soon. The £10 season ticket offer to entice a new generation of latics supporters has been wasted IMO, fans of that age want to watch a winning side, not be subjected to the fortnightly misery of attending BP to be regularly left disappointed, when the afternoon could have been spent playing on the x box. Dress it up however you like, but PD has a record as OAFC manager that is tragic.
Stevie_J
Pretty much a season's worth of games. Nailed on relegation form. And that's in spite of having a very decent looking squad this season. When we lose Baxter, to follow Derbyshire, we look bound to end up dicing with relegation again. He's not up to the job. He has to go.
Hands on
I wish it was once a fortnight! Back on Saturday and Forest a week later. The problem is goals for with only one a game in the league and only Baxter and Derbyshire with more than 2. Now that we don't seem able to defend the future is bleak. oafc1955
= depressing How on Earth does the manager keep his job with stats like that? Answer: Not enough cash to sack and replace........... If this form continues until May we definitely won't have enough money to sack him cos we'll have been relegated........those stats are bloody unreal. We are supposedly trying to get lapsed and younger fans into BP but when you're averaging less than a goal a game and only 8 wins from 26 what chance have you got. A defeat at home to Crewe would be it for me......I really don't see how we could continue with Dickov!!
NewBlue
It shocked me most that at home we have less than a goal per game in the league. That is truly abysmal. I don't mind losing if we have defensive frailties because we try to entertain the crowd, score goals, make chances but to still lose and not score goals is very poor. It's not even like we have loads of shots and target and can't finish them. We've had good strikers here throughout the year with Kuqi and Derbyshire who can finish chances. If we want more fans to come through the turnstiles we have to score and entertain. These kids won't come back even with a £10 ST next year if the stats don't improve.
