Sorry if somebody has already asked this

My lad has a Boundary Blues season ticket and I, or whoever takes him, pays in on the day. Now, I am a bit concerned that if its one ticket per ST holder for libpool he obviously wont be able to attend as I dont quite fancy sending my ten year old son off on his own for this match. Hopefully this wont be an issue, but Ive planned ahead and told him he isnt going so Ive already had the tears!!! Soft arse.

Classy.

I reckon its irrelevant anyway as it will quite rightly be 2 per ST holder.

I assume most of our ST holders are kids on the back of the offer? Probably can't do anything else other than 2 per ST but there'll be a lot of non Latics supporters who get a ticket through association on the back of it and a lot who miss out who go regularly. Seems unfair in all honesty but probably no way around it.

He mentioned it again this morning, he said he understands and its ok because at least he went to anfield. I must say I was impressed by his maturity so I have emailed the club to ask. Well I think I have, I just put simon.corney@oldhamathletic.co.uk into hotmail!

Does really doesnt it. Obviously from my standpoint its a no brainer, but I can see why people would be annoyed. Especially if we give libpool 4700. how many ST holders? 2200? doesnt leave many left.....

The only hope is that the majority of tickets purchased on the back of a £10 season ticket (some of which have probably only been used one or twice) end up in the hands of fans like yourself. There's no doubt there'll be deserving punters who miss out though.

Time to do an offer. Something like buy advance tickets to the next three home games and get a voucher for the FA cup tie. Offering two per season ticket will still leave a lot of space.

I think that is the best option. Would financially rule me out of the libpool game, but I would go to the league games to secure a libpool ticket and let somebody I trust have it and take my son with them.

just a question regarding tenner season tickets? who controls the latics 4 life donated ones, as in who has access to them? is there a way of putting a block on them so they dont get abused? or are they already floating about in the community with no way to control them?

I really would hate to be the club because people aren't going to be happy whatever they do. Two tickets per ST holder is inherently unfair given the limited capacity (especially if, and it's a big if, the club give Liverpool the whole RRE) - just because your mate or dad has a season ticket shouldn't give you any greater priority than others who pay on the day. As the OP points out, some kids who have the tenner ticket can't come alone, so should there be one per adult ST and two per child ST? That would cause further arguments - adult STs are thirty times more expensive plus there's some 14-16 year old kids for example who are more than capable of coming alone.

It's an absolute minefield and I'd hate to be the person trying to deal with it. But the club simply have to keep the small section of the RRE for Latics fans or it the problem will only be exacerbated.

I can answer that. I donate the money to the club for latics for life and then me and the club indentify a worthy genuine source (who also wants them) its incredible diffucult as the club have to put on carers as well to look after the kids and we have to be careful that the kids are likely to use them, which is a fine balance

I can assure anyone they dont get abused, there is still money left in the pot in regards to this which will roll over to next year

The funny thing is i donated the tickets but dont have a ticket myself and am now scrammbling to get myself a ticket for the liverpool game lol

To the OP, this could effect me and I might be reading this wrong.

My three nephews have the £10 ST so they will get their tickets for the match

I take them but dont have a ST but pay on the gate, so I take them this Sat to Watch Brentford and I get a voucher too

To the OP, if your lads going on Sat with ST and escorted by an adult - who will get a voucher, Why can't he come to Livepool game again?

Thanks

Simply down to cost. But at least my lad will be able to go now so thats all that matters.
