HarryBosch
Is ALWAYS up for the big game too. Always or only?
Break The Silence
There is a bit of me that would play Smith for Barnard. And they actually let you operate on people?
rudemedic
And they actually let you operate on people? No they don't.
Break The Silence
No they don't. That's okay then .
slystallone
Resuming training on Thursday is too close to Saturday to be fit enough to start the game - on the bench for both. Basically this. And even if they were both fit; I'd go with Iwelumo and Barnard anyway, as they're better players. Stongest team out and all that..... slystallone
Why break up a strike partnership which has scored 3 goals in the last 2 games? Iwelumo and Barnard were like a breath of fresh air up front and got Baxter, Croft and Obita much more into the game. This too /\
Boys in Blue
Have we all forgotten the league table. Risking a recurrence of injury to Smith&Simpson would be daft. Iwelumo & Barnard not played loads recently so expect muscle injuries when Tuesday-Saturday fixtures kick in. Everton game is a bonus but avoiding relegation is the priority
oafcmetty
Simpson is effective as a number 10 and is one of the few players we have who will take chances and have a shot. 22 appearances, 1 goal? Effective my arse.
Dave_Og
but avoiding relegation is the priority At what point does it not? Semi-finals?
Boys in Blue
At any point that we could still end up in the same division as Barnet! Take the cash and give it a good go with the quality strikers that we have rather than rush two lads back who are not as good, but who we might need later. Diego_Sideburns
TP says “As we stand, Matt hasn’t joined training yet. The fact he hasn’t trained or played since Liverpool has to be taken into consideration as we will need everyone involved in the Everton game to be firing on all cylinders.” http://www.oldham-ch...or-fa-cup-clash
laticdickovarmy
Is flooding the middfield not an effective option bringing Furms in and leaving Barnard up top alone with Baxter off him and telling Obita and Croft to really get up and down which will be tough Everton and Liverpool are million miles apart in way they will play regardless of the personal picked If we can stop the deliver from the full backs and get bodies in and around Fellaini we could have sucess If I was TP I would wind Fellaini up at any chance as he has the ability to lash out in his nature. Its not playing to our strengths but a draw and a bumper payday again at their place would be fantastic acheivement
oafcprozac
I can see where you are coming from, but we are at our best when we get at teams, pressing high up the pitch it's that work-ethic (and a bit of luck) that beat Liverpool. The same work-ethic that destroyed Forest in that 7 minute spell, and also what brought two out of the three goals last week. Sod changing our game plan, let's get at the over paid pansies. They'll come here and shut up shop anyway, that's how Gollum sets them up.
