OAFC_Ryan
Too good, if you get this one who also played in the first team go to the top of the class; Terry Smith?
BP1960
I remember one lad coming in and letting in 7 in the first game of his spell. Only lasted 2 weeks. Andy Goram ?
Latics_Fanatic
David Knight I think Knight? Both Correct. Was sent off for handing the ball outside the area in the 39th Minute - although, the ball was about 2 or 3 yards inside.

rudemedic
He played a handful of games; That is Shane Supple; the GAA jersey was a big clue.

rudemedic
Was he on loan from Ipswich? Yep, think he quit as a professional (Association) footballer after us, but moved to Gaelic football after a few months.

Magic Mikey
Andy Goram ? Not really a quiz question. The most perfect example of why you should never go back. Edited April 2, 2013 by Magic Mikey

bigfatjoe1
Wasn't this one Goram's understudy for a while? Actually, not a bad keeper. I just wanted to be reminded of his name.
BP1960
Craig Mawson. Correct, you must have been to too many matches to catch you out. Edited April 2, 2013 by BP1960
BP1960
Winston DuBose, saw him play a blinder on trial once. he won many USA caps and was a top keeper who never really got a chance in this country due to work permit issues. Big keeper too about 6' 5" I seem to remember.. Edited April 2, 2013 by BP1960
jsslatic
Correct, you must have been to too many matches to catch you out. Either that or I saw the Droylsden flag in the background and googled 'Droylsden goalkeepers'. But as in Life of Pi, which story do you prefer? stargazer
Bouzy is a terrific keeper , who has got us out of jail a lot , second only to Baxter in player of the year imo . Just unfortunate that it was a game we expected to win . Only thing I would say is I would expect every keeper to be wary of surfaces at this time of year , very bobbly after the winter we have had as they dry hard. I think it was a reserve game or friendly, but he was a most impressive keeper, absolutely superb in the air, today a keeper like him would be worth millions in the International transfer market - which was virtually non existent back then..
