Harry Dowds Green Shirt
one of the teams that I follow is Tenerife. Today they were playing at Real Oviedo winning 2-1 to go 6 points clear at the top f their league (Spanish 3rd divison which is regionalised) Interestingly playing for Real Oviedo was an ex trialist of ours and he scored for the home team. Thought it might be of interest to some and to Diego in particular. The link is form the CD Tenerife Armada Sur website http://www.armadasur...upporters-club/
Gentleman
Sid lowe (football journalist) was looking for some information (via twitter) about his time at Oldham. I'm not sure if anything came of it but I wouldn't be surprised to see an article pop up somewhere. Seems he's a real cult figure at oviedo. Frankly Mr Shankly
The link is form the CD Tenerife Armada Sur website http://www.armadasur...upporters-club/ If the standard of goalkeeping for Oviedo's (and Diego's) goal is a fair reflection of that level of football I don't think we've missed anything really. Apart from a :censored:load of entertainment from scoring his only goal in about 25 appearances. However, the Oviedo keeper's complete :censored:-up for Tenerife's winner, followed by him unable to pull his shirt back down from over his face with his oversized goalkeeping gloves was priceless. Thanks HDGS! Sid lowe (football journalist) was looking for some information (via twitter) about his time at Oldham. I'm not sure if anything came of it but I wouldn't be surprised to see an article pop up somewhere. Seems he's a real cult figure at oviedo. Sid Lowe contacted me recently via Mike Keegan on here, and I was able to help him with info about Diego's time at BP. Sid reckons Dr Diego Cervero is the top scoring Spaniard in the entire Spanish League. He says Diego is good friends with Michu (Swansea). Together they won promotion for Oviedo from the Third Division to the Second . Sid may be prone to exaggeration: Sid Lowe @sidlowe 4 Nov Messi? Ronaldo? Falcao? Pah! Not a patch on Diego Cervero!
