Has anyone else received a terribly fonted email this morning regards a change in the name of the Club Player direct debit as from 9th June?

I clicked on the Club Player link and it took me to Sky Sports, this all looks very suspicious to me and may be a scam.

As a Latics Player subscriber I'm I wondering what do do about it?.

Reporting it to the club would be first move then forwarding them the email you received if it is a scam the relevant authorities will deal with it.

Thanks, I've sent a copy by email to the club and a PCSO I know to check it out.

If you still have the e-mail on your system then get rid of it by showing it as a phishing scam and not just junk so that those dealing with like matters will block them for everyone until their enquiries are completed.

I think you'll find it's genuine. Mine arrived with a jumbled up font, but made perfect sense when opened via a different method. If it eases your concerns, (and I won't disclose my :sauce: although I can assure you it's genuine), I knew before the end of last season that Player was going to change for the coming season.

The email looks genuine, despite the font apparently chosen for mobile devices. All the links in the mail appear to have genuine targets, and there is no payload included. If this is not genuine, then it's a very very poor attempt at phishing as it doesn't appear to try to do anything abnormal!

Isn't not appearing to try to do anything abnormal exactly what a very good attempt at phishing would do?!

This one doesn't ask you to do anything at all. No clicks, no action needed.

So unless it was phishing for 30 seconds of my time it's not done a great phishing job!

Looks genuine enough when viewing on a mobile. All over the place on a pc.

After further enquires it seems to be genuine, the awful text on the computer looked amateurish though, that and the Club Player link to Sky Sports and not them are probably what caused me the concern.
