Pitch damage?

Recommended Posts

On thing I noticed on Tuesday night was despite how well the pitch took the copious rain, there was inevitably significant wear and tear caused to the pitch. We are well into November, the grass will hardly be growing......I think we will now start to see significant bobble on the ball

I hope this does not mean an end to fast accurate free flowing passing which has thus far typified our home performances?

Seriously I think we are increasing going to have a poor playing surface now

Maybe one of the reasons we struggle after Christmas, the players cant adjust.

I thought how good the pitch looked, especially compared with Bradford City's last night.

I was going to post that Blackpool beach would make a better playing surface than the pitch at Valley Parade but, watching the highlights, their pitch looks good. It was the worst pitch I've seen in decades last season.

It'll be worse after the youth team have played on it tonight in the cup-tie v Morecambe 7:00pm kick-off.

P.S. The rarely-wrong Chron says the kick-off time is 7:45pm.

It was, its unfortunate we have had so many home matches in this weather.

The draining qualities of the pitch are outstanding and amongst the best in the country. However this heavy rain is forecast to last for the next 7 hours....that is a lot of rain! The pitch should cope but If I was travelling any distance I would check first?
