longtimeblue
Taylor from Newcastle. Basically, tell me he's highly thought of, bagged a load in the youth team and was being looked at by a number of clubs and I've been had. I'll probably renew my ST in July under a similar premise. OAFCinWolves
I don't want to be a someone who gets upset for no reason using petty insults when someone points out a simple truth about a footballer on a messageboard though but don't let me stop you... You carry on not being sad. So fragile. Thank you

Midsblue
Controversial but I was excited when we signed Lee Hughes as despite the baggage, he guaranteed goals. Strikers excite me and over the years hearing Wijnhard, Beckett and Kuqi had signed spiked my excitement. How I wish we had similar now and just shows how far we have fallen. Rooney was the more recent but the striker voodoo at BP claimed him as a victim.
davegtt
When we signed Rooney I really thought Oldham were a team that played top football and we only ever missed a goalscorer and this was that guy. I told everyone at work we were going to bag loads of goals that year and I had us down for promotion. I think thats the only year in the last 15 I actually thought that was really going to happen. I was soon punched back down to size.
bluehobbit
Baxter...Was told he was class...and to a point he was not a natural athlete sure but touch, technique and could he hit a ball Beckett Liddle although he didn't play I imagined he would when he played for us Now a days I haven't even heard of most of the players we sign and its fingers crossed they are decent like Palmer and not a Colebeck or Poleon
Frankly Mr Shankly
I remember the summer of 2005 when Ronnie made a glut of signings that all looked proper quality on paper. Liddell, Swailes, Rob Scott, Wellens, Warne, Porte, Butcher, Beckett... Loads. Then Ibiza in the summer, being able to watch them for the first time. Genuinely expecting us to go up, with no real big hitters in the division. Proper fancied us. Then the first couple of matches of the season. Two convincing wins. It's on! By the third match we got battered at :censored:ing Tranmere on a Friday night and it all went pop. When you look at it this way, it wasn't surprising Ronnie got sacked by the end of the season. Colchester and Southend went up in the automatic places. It should have been us. :censored:s sake.
NewBlue
Rumours circulating that Jose Baxter has again been found to be on the lemo. Sheffield United might not be so tolerant this time... Bring him back home.
