steveecky
Quick question on the back of players brought in recently - who was the last signing that really excited you? I thought Rooney, based on his scoring record before (and since!), but then he was completely mismanaged during his time at BP and never got the chance to show what he could do. petelatics
That's a difficult one. All the players that Big Joe brought in for peanuts weren't 'big time' - I'd have to go for Bobby Johnstone.

Yep I was very excited by Rooney - my brother was telling me what a great player we had got. Not to sure we can say he was not given a chance but was certainly completely mismanaged. A young fella called Green that Joe Royal sent our way excited me this pre season, I got the impression we gambled heavily wage wise with him ...... oh well

oafc-latics
Dunn - as a player. Shame he thought he was ready for management when he would have been more helpful on the field.

OAFCinWolves
Jose Baxter was last one I was thinking wow as he had the pick of the championship at the time. Everton had tried to keep that summer. I had big hopes for George Green too was told how good he was of a load of toffee fans and they was disappointed they let him go
