Anyone know the outcome of the FA's inquiry into Gerrard being struck on the pitch after the game at Millwall?

http://www.capitalbay.news/sports/soccer/1031842-millwall-subject-to-fa-investigation-as-oldham-s-anthony-gerrard-claims-he-was-hit-by-fan-during-pitch-invasion.html

Hopefully they've decided he's a knob head and just let it go.

What station do you go from to get to Surrey Quays? Or would an uber from London Bridge be better?

It's on the Overground line (orange) but don't let that confuse you - it's still part of the Tube network and so you can use your Oyster/Contactless card as normal.

Anyone with a smart phone should grab City Mapper and use that - it'll guide you better than a pre-planned route as it adapts to closures, suspensions and delays.

Not massively familiar with London transport...after the game is there going to be a couple of hundred of us waiting for this replacement bus to London Bridge or do they have the foresight to lay a few on for us? Don't fancy the chances of getting a taxi near to the ground after the game.

I should think they'll have plans for putting us on the buses. Unless they do specials they would already normal people on them, they'll have done this plenty of times before

We're getting an Uber from London Bridge before the game. Getting back there could be boring if there are no special buses. If you're heading straight back to Euston, go to Bermondsey or Canada Water and jump on the Jubilee line to London Bridge, then get the Northern line.

Don't bother with the Overground from Surrey Quays - it's only about a five minute walk from there to either Bermondsey or CW.

I know it'll just be another pub but historical innit

It's a good 30-40 minute walk (never had the need to walk that way) or about a tenner in a cab.

Is The Blind Beggar doable before or after? Never been in....

Yes. Got to Surrey Quays and take the Overground (the old East London line) to Whitechapel. Five minute walk from there.

Think it was called the barrow boy and banker right on London Bridge a bit pricey though

Absolute hole.

Okay, but not near the river and...not that great. El Vino's next door is better, and the one on Fleet Street is even better still. Old school. Difficult to get to the ground from there though. And they're closed on Saturdays.

The south bank pubs are alright if you go in January, if it's really cold, on a Tuesday night. Otherwise it's full of tourists, which I suppose you all are.
