They're just rumours, there's no way it will happen. If anyone other than us sign Kilkenny it will be someone like Barnsley or Sheff Wednesday ala a local Championship team.

cant see it happening myself, just rumours.....that said i would be happy for kalala to go to donny and wellens this way, think that would be a better option.

then both the tempremental players can try to outdo each other.

Completely hypothetical question isn't it?

The answer is either of them, they are the two best midfielders in this league,so if it came to a choice, who would you choose?

Both players have undoubted ability, both have put in more than enough effort for our cause!

personally i would go with KK,simply because of his youth!

That said,i have nothing but admiration for Richie, who has been a great player for us.

Kilkenny everytime, simply because id rather look to the future than the past, loved wellens when he was here hes gone now. After the abuse wellens was getting last game cant see him wanting to come back anyways imagine if he played badly he would be lynched by our fans:)

dont think wellens would return - but on playing ability he is the best midfielder in the league so to have that in the side would be fantastic - that is putting aside his antics in the summer. KIlkenny is great but sometimes frustrating and he can drift and come across as being lazy., when he does the things we want it great to watch but for me too incosistent at times - he had a poor game against forest so hopefully and chances are he will have a blinder today

whoever made this roumer up must have been drunk. after we booed wellens theres no chance in him coming back to us now. hes with a club who has ambition so why would he wanna come back to us.

we have no ambition?

whats this stadium thing all about?

signing a player we have already sold , now thats ambition.

who cares if he wants to come back, didnt get us up first time around.what would be different 6 months later?

 totally agree

17 corners, inumerable free-kicks of which he took every one and created sod all. Shut the door on the way out Neil. Never wanted the jumped up little gob:censored:e back in the first place. Occasional glimpses of what he can do but all too fleeting. Make no bones about it guys and gals, as KK proved last time he is no good in a relegation battle and after the last 2 home performances thats where we are heading, our away form will fade guaranteed. Unfortunately Shez has created this situation for himself, leaving us with an unbalanced squad (for the second season running) that STILL does not practice set-pieces properly as our manager prefers to do things of the cuff! FFS!

Wellens was over rated too. As I've said all season we'd be far better with two battlers in midfield. (Or a so-called talisman that can take a friggin' set-piece!) Win it, get it wide, not rocket science is it?

Wasn't arguably our best ever side assembled on that basis? Henry and Milligan win it and give it Holden and Adams to do the biz. Agreed, not rocket science.

we need a creator in the middle to go alongside macca or allott, kalala clearly isnt gonna get in the team barring injuries etc and may well be off in jan. Our problem is the workrate of our midfielders. If you watch closely, whenever we lose it in the middle and the other team gets the ball, our players do not run with their men allowing teams to just stroll through us with ease particularly the case with allott who doesnt have the pace to get back. We also allow teams soooo much time on the ball! especially wingers, our fullbacks let them have room and say 'go on cross the ball'. Furst rule of defending 'dont let the cross get in' - we let them come over all the time (eardley the main culprit, shocking positional sense) the second 'Get tight to your man' - we allow teams time and space - No one gives this to us!!! especially at home.

two fighters in the middle doesnt work in todays game unless they have the pace to defend and attack for 90 mins - allott cant do this and kalala cant either as was proven earlier in the season. Either both get back and attack or one midfielder is told to attack and defend with the other mostly sitting deep.

our midfielders are never level or near each other, last year macca and wellens were always close or if one was up the other was slightly deeper, at the moment we are either all up the pitch or too deep and when we do attack no one is quick enough to get back to their unmarked men.

we need a defenive midfielder alongside a box to box player who can attack and defend ala wellens (he did put a fair amount of effort in and could create as well). Allott is ok as the def mid but niether kilkenny or macca have the ability to create and defend in the middle, they are both workers with kilkenny showing the odd creative moment and macca being a mark hughes type midfielder.

unless our playing squad gets radically overhauled, for the short term i think we need a 352 formation to allow cover in the defensive areas whilst also allowing us to get men in the box particularly as davies comes wide leaving hughes on his own. This would be my team for the next few games based on form/available options:

gk-pogs

cb-hazell

cb-trotman

cb-stam

dm-allott

rwb- lomax

cm-kilkenny/other

cm-macca

lwb-bertrand/taylor/other

st-hughes

st-davies/other
