  1. As a member of the Board it would be interesting to get confirmation from the Trust if they are satisfied that all "sackings" have followed the legal requirements of employment law.
  2. Is the Owl still on the club crest or has that been sacked?
  3. There is no improvement in communication yet just platitudes with no substance. without crossing every t & c what is the plan ? Unfortunately the trust is as impotent as ever.
  4. True, but perhaps at some point in the next 20 years we should give continuity a try.Perhaps Abdallah will be better at picking managers than he is at players
  5. I really don't care anymore. Each season new manager with new team no continuity or heart in n the club. Don't even have TP anymore.
  6. Great post Maximus It appears that I have taken the reverse journey, my username defines where I was born and brought up. Never in a million years did I think when growing up that I would break the mould of Man Utd, Carlisle and dare I say Workington Reds.
  7. The majority of business sales include indemnities whereby the seller has to pay for specific known future liabilities (in this case potential tax bill incurred before sale) and hidden liabilities that were not disclosed in due diligence. It is highly unlikely that Abdallah has been hoodwinked if he has a half decent solicitor.
  8. At a meeting at the end of the transfer window Richie Wellens said Davies is like a bear with a sore head because he didn't get the move he wanted. Tells you all about his commitment to the club he had only been back 4 months.
  9. Even more ironic that he ended up on the bench of a team bottom of League 1
  10. The root of the problem isn't who is thrown the poisoned chalice of manager of the club but the circus that the club has become over the years. It is rotten to the core and events over the last month have convinced me about that even more. That is the real problem going into next season and I cannot get the experience of Orient over the last few years out of my mind.
  11. Just feeling delirious in the car park and trying to get my thoughts together, apologies if it was frivolous, but we all deal with things in different ways.
  12. 3 questions Wheres Forest Green ? Is anyone going to the awards evening ? Who will win player of the year ?
  13. I am sure that Corney will be keen to tell HMRC about it because he will also be sitting on losses that he will want to offset against it
  14. He also got sacked by Barnsley,he seems to fit in best at Rochdale
  15. Now that we are free of embargoes etc we may be financially competitive. At this stage none of us know, will have to see how the signings pan out in the Summer.
  16. We don't know that Byrne has fallen out with Wellens. What we do know is that Byrne signed permanently for us because he wanted to work with Wellens. Also it is Byrne who fell out with Blackburn and Wigan.
  17. Most teams in our division have players that cost as much as them some already relegated. For example in terms of financial clout we are well behind Bury who started the season with a seasoned and previously successful manager.
  18. Who are all these brilliant unemployed managers who can work wonders in 6 months with no money and a delinquent club structure
  19. All of a sudden some think that Keith Hill is some sort of wonder manager. Ask the Rochdale fans and you will get a similar attitude to him as we are getting for Richie Wellens. It's about what happens on the day in both games end of. Our situation is the culmination of the years of short termism in the way the club has been run. Remember we have had no money and Wellens has had to work with what he inherited and what we could afford as did Sheridan and he walked away from it. Why is Pep at City ? Simple access to vast sums of money to buy players,no doubt he is a good coach but he would struggle without the money. whybdid Wigan and Blackburn get promoted ? Not wonder managers Paul Cook and Tony Mowbray but biggest player budgets.
  20. He started Davis because he is desperate to reignite his partnership with Doyle. As soon as Davis could walk unaided he was going to be selected. To be fair in the circumstances I thought he lut a decent shift in and was as effective as Holloway
  21. I'm coming round to the view that there are very few stand out managers, the chances are most are pretty similar. They go to the same school follow the same curriculum and all use a variety of the same systems. That is one reason why football has become more sterile over the years with teams cancelling one another out. I just can't see who at this point would be better than Wellens and therefore my vote goes for stability.
  22. Try looking at Just Park website there may be local residents hiring their drives out online I've used it at Shrewsbury works a treat .
