I think the team need to to go a comedy club or something just to make them smile a bit and look as though they are enjoying playing football. They look like they hate their job. If you enjoy doing something you will do it well. Lots of times I've noticed that when there is some banter between the players rather than bemoaning at each other we play much better, There are a few low-fives going around but I really think our players should be smiling more. DISCUSS... NOW!

In response to this, did any notice Baxter's rant at the end of the second half. It epitomises what has been said here. We were playing some nice football, passing it around, patiently waiting for that killer pass through the middle - unfortunately one of our players resorted to a long ball which was offside, thus losing possession. Baxter was as frustrated as many of us fans and made it very noticeable. Although I thought he should have waited to blast aforementioned player during the break, he was right to be angry at the wasteful ball - completely against what we were trying to do. All the players know what is required. There will, however be the odd lapse to pre-LJ days.... for a few games. I was very impressed with the team as a whole yesterday and am excited about this season. We will be promoted. Also very proud of the fans. Well done all round. Come on you blues!

I'll add this.... I'm a fan of keeping the ball... I can even cope with M'voto passing it amongst the back defenders - although I do get a bit nervy. What annoys me is the passing around then kicking it back to the keeper who punts it up under pressure to no-one... where our forwards or midfield have to win it back to start passing it backwards again. We need to be quicker to pass it around and the players need to be more 'positive' in their passing and GETTING INTO FORWARD SPACE. All too often we keep being put on the back foot.

To be fair to the lad - we have already got his moving on fee. He got us an extra 200k+ for the replay. I admit I used to groan at the start of the season - but when he learned how to jump properly and even hold the ball he showed he has the potential. Good luck to the lad and thanks for the memories.
