  1. Luck plays a massive part in football Dale are below us for a reason, they can't beat teams like us. Nobody said the tactics were good or right. I am simply summising what RWs mindset may be heading into games and its not the same as 30 games ago.
  2. The Blackburn home game was while in form during a good run in the middle of the season. We are not at the end where a loss could finish us. Also we aren't playing Blackburn we are playing games teams around who we can't afford to lose too. Circumstances and the back have changed a lot since then.
  3. You can't be serious? You think a manager should control a players indvidual mistakes, passing and shooting from the touchline which is what I alluded to in my post?
  4. The players at this club currently and in the past never seem to have to take any responsibility. The manager cant pass and shoot for them, they have to concentrate on performance and step up. These players have shown they can do the basics very well so why not now? I fail to see how Wellens can be blamed for individuals making the wrong decisions at the wrong time on the pitch. We all know they can do better.
  5. We had a good run of form, we are now in a not so great run of form. That's football!
  6. I personally think RW is afraid to go back to the more open style of play we saw earlier in the season through fear that we may get picked off easier. Although entertaining we did ride our luck on a number of occasions. Although none of us like it (him included I bet) he now wants to keep it tight which is what we've seen the last few weeks. Id bet though he isn't telling player to play it long and sit in constantly but that's what happens when you have average players, players who aren't willing to work hard enough for the team and players with egos they have no right to have at this stage in their career. Hopefully we survive but which ever division we start in next year id be willing to bet if RW is in charge the free flowing attacking football will return. He is being overly cautious due to the pressure.
  7. But not in the town they represent? Constant having a pop? Fkn hell mate I get my fair share of shit on social media from fellow oldham fans just for having my own opinion. You need to defend something that may not be true all I hear is excuses why our home support us shite but 2 miles away on a weeknight everyone can arrange a pub meet and sing their bollocks off!
  8. Consistent? No, but atmosphere doesn't have to be consistent does it? Against Blackpool the first sound our fans made was to call Oldham a shit hole 16 mins in. My pointing out actual facts seems to have upset a few of our great away fans. ? What's the problem? I said its a shame which it is. I Guarantee the atmosphere will be better tomorrow than any home game since say Liverpool/Everton and guaranteed no matter the result social media and message boards will be full of back patting.
  9. Last argument I heard was that it was the clubs fault for match day experience. I forgot you cant drink on Saturdays in Oldham and all have to be stood together to open you gob and support your team rather than noticeably moan and groan every misplaced pass.
  10. Shame we can create an atmosphere 2 miles from BP but not actually in BP. Looking forward to all the back patting even if we get stuffed. #greatawayfans
  11. Obviously hope not but can only see a loss without reply in this one. Its a must not lose fixture because no way can I see us taking three points. Always optimistic until the last few performances. Very worried... 2-0 home win
  12. Things have changed at the top since and the manager may be given what he needs to do his job.
  13. Very true! Every single season we go through the same thing just a different name being scrutinised At one point manger got 2 years or more now it appears we don't give them 1 full season or the chance to build before change is wanted. Its really sad but I honestly hope that we have a new owner who is strong enough to ignore a large portion of our fickle fan base who would change mangers every year in the hope it eventually works.
  14. Right lads I want you all to ignore every single contributing factor that may effect how a manager prepares his teams for games and then tell me what he actually does until we can all agree to sack another manager before he's completed a full season or had a transfer window.
  15. What makes me laugh the most about these arguments were posters are happy for Wellen's to get potted and are not willing to give any leeway for the circumstances or the conditions he has been working under are highly likely the first ones who screamed for him to get the job after a wining run and are the first to cry when we have a brand new squad because the club aren't creating any consistency from year to year. They were the first to say Clarke was done but now use loaning him out as stick to beat RW with. We have a potentially decent squad that needs additions. We potentially have a good manager who is learning and who most likely does know his best team and formation, due to circumstances he cant play it. injuries, fitness etc We have a shit pitch, no training facilities from one day to the next, we didn't pay players for most of the season on time and a takeover was hanging in the air for months and his assistant fucked off within a month because of all this but hey...he knew all this when he took the job didn't he?
  16. Still not seen anything that has changed my mind. He only seems to play for himself. Every time he receives the ball no matter where he wants to take everyone on, he plays with his head down and only wants it to feet. He isn't willing to put in the hard work without the ball. Holloway should have started instead of him.
  17. Sorry! I SAID HE MENTIONED US RIGHT AT THE BEGINNING.
  18. Left of Stones who is defending like a league 1 centre half.
