Sorry to dampen your enthusiasm for Fleming's height advantage over Bell, but if his Wiki and Bell's Latics player profile are correct, Bell is 2 inches taller than Fleming. So lets hope your "taller = better goalie" theory isn't correct, although it is obviously an advantage to be taller.
K Lee was on the right wing and scored a cracker with his right foot for Utd against Crewe. So maybe he prefers his right foot.
If the time stamp is correct, many of the posts in this thread were made during the Cup Final. Has it lost so much of its magic, that people would rather sit at their computers reading and writing to a message board than watch ths Cup Final on the telly?
Or were you people at work skiving .
No whooshing.
Just trying to stop any confusion.
Unless, due to falling interest in the housing development, there are thoughts afoot for a cheaper option of refurbishment for the Chaddy and old Main Stand instead of rebuilding them in a few yrs time.
Is this how rumours start?
Do we have to BUY players from outside England or can they do a Porter, or was that 'cos it was within the UK, I can't remember. Does any one with a younger brain than mine know?
I've never sat in the RRE stand, but have stood on the terraces their many a time before the stand was built.
I would say if you don't want to get rained on, sit as far back as possible. Most of the time the wind blows straight into the RRE. If its just the rain your worried abou though you could get a seat 1/2 way up and simply sit further back when it rains.
If Pogs could fit in some scouting in Australia we could cover another continent. Mind you the cost of bringing lads over for a trial could be prohibitive.
You should have said before, I was in that neck of the woods a few weeks ago, could have popped in to see if it was still their. Or retrieved it for you.
I think this was a plan B which TTA didn't want to mention, in case the NIMBYs jumped at it and persuaded the planning committee to enforce it. Which would have removed any flexibility to the development.
As it is, TTA have many options from shoe horning in the max number of cheaper flats to spreading out more expensive spacious detached houses and any combination thereof.
I'm sure their will still be the curved corner block of flats built overlooking the pitch on the corner between the Chaddy and the NSM stands, as I have put down a deposit for the penthouse
BTW in an interview, I remember Corney saying that they expected to make £70,000 per unit. I suppose that is after the developers take their cut.
