  1. " Jedi da red eye " might be " Jedi da black eye " when bear mad Roger Ritchie bumps into him. Narmeeen.
  2. Still not in work yet. My journey from Royton to midd has taken 1hr 20 so far. Seems to more due to a lot of bad accidents on the motorways causing the whole network to jam up. Totally gridlocked maaaaan.
  3. A few on here, notably the mods, dislike him. More think he's a 'property dealing :censored:', but I think you'll find the recent poll on him came out, rightly or wrongly, massively in his favour.
  4. You know full well its far more than just a football club to many.
  5. The clubs needs to make it as hard as possible for Everton fans to get tickets in the home ends - not entirely sure what they can do though. And it's taking the piss when away fans are showing their 'colours' in the home ends.
  6. Who needs Cantona when we've got Lee Barnard
  7. Walking up Sheepfoot Lane after the game there was a bit of dancing between two sets of opposing fans, with a bottle thrown by the Liverpool fans which missed my head by a whisker. Couple of policemen were desperately trying to keep the two sides apart and had camcorders. Back up police arrived and both sets of fans got corralled off in different directions. I ended up being stuck in a group of Oldham fans that the police thought were Scousers, but police ended realising we were local and let us through on to Rochdale Road near Old Grey Mare...next thing a big group of Oldham hooligans ran at us from the direction of the petrol station, screaming at us also thinking we were Scousers...my arse went to be honest (can do without my losing my job and my life being :censored:ed because of a silly fight at football these days) and I managed to dive in to safety of the Grey Mare.
  8. When we last played Everton in the fifth round - the epic three game thriller in 1990 - there were 19,000 there and you could hear the roar from High Crompton.
  9. I was surprised at the amount of Asian (probably not right to say that as most of them could be classed as English as anyone else really) faces in the RRE near me. Only ever seen the odd brown face at Latics before, but there were plenty on Sunday. I did wonder if they were supporting Oldham or Liverpool. A lot had 50/50 scarves on and perhaps they were just their to take in the game as neutrals or even fans of both teams. The Everton game will probably tell us if it's a start of more interest from the Asian community in OAFC or just because Liverpool were in town.
  10. The cost - pair of muddy winklepickers and a frown from the boss.
  11. If we could be allowed to give Everton the small section as has been suggested, I'd definitely do that if I was Corney. I was very surprised at the amount of people I consider good fans that didn't go yesterday - Not lads who just turn up for the big games, but people who had STs for years until very recently and still go occasionally, but didn't bother yesterday - think they'll want a piece of the Everton game.
  12. In 20 years to come when dickov has a big red nose and Oldham have won 3 champs leagues and dominated the prem, dickov will look back on Smith and Wabara's goals like Fergie looks back on Mark Robins's goal.
  13. One of the slowest footballers I've seen. But did very well yesterday. Won most balls that came near in. Thought him and Robbie played really well.
  14. Just my luck to get a big, meat-head scousers sat right next to me in the RRE. Luckily, he was sound. Clearly quite a few Liverpool fans near me, but to be fair they kept quiet. A few openly wearing colours though which shouldn't be allowed.
  15. Love em or hate em, there were a lot being worn today.
  16. I'm in my early 30s and my mum will still buy me the Shoot annual at Xmas! I'm not a fan of 50 / 50 scarves, unless there's a connection between the clubs like us and Ejntracht. But others like them, and it's money for the club so don't see the problem.
  17. I know you are all dying to know how and when I break my 27 days of total abstinence tomorrow : well a mega plan is now in place. Pint and burger in the Halfway House, then taxi to the greyhound then a stroll to the rifle then on to witness a magical fa cup upset.
  18. It was. But the standard of football just gets better every year.
  19. If you bring it, please try to restrict use. Perhaps once a half. There's a reason we don't go in for all that foreign :censored:ing orchestrated atmosphere in this country - cos it's :censored: and humourless, just like the Italians who are the masters of it.
  20. I hate drinking in Royton, well the centre, hence why I'm after a bit of a change and the chance to soak up the pre-game atmosphere near the ground instead.
